ADELAIDE midfielder Teah Charlton and Collingwood’s Eliza James have both played impressive roles in their sides victories over the weekend to receive round eight NAB AFLW Rising Star nominations.

Charlton, who was recruited from South Adelaide at pick No.4 in the 2020 NAB AFLW Draft, has forced her way into a star-studded Adelaide midfield, only missing one game since being recruited.

The highly rated junior played an integral role in South Adelaide's SANFLW premiership in 2019, a season that saw her rewarded with All-Australian selection.

She becomes the second Crow to be recognised this season, after ruck Montana McKinnon was nominated back in round five.

The 19-year-old was integral in the Crows' top-of-the-table win against Fremantle. She finished the game with 18 disposals, two marks and three tackles.

Zippy Collingwood forward Eliza James shone in the Pies' impressive 25-point win over the Western Bulldogs to keep their finals dream alive.

The 18-year-old excitement machine caught the eye of recruiters in 2021 playing for the Oakleigh Chargers and was selected at pick No.29 in the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft.

Throughout her first season, the 168cm livewire has demonstrated her ability to be a marking target and has brought the same attack and intensity at ground level.

James was a part of history in Sunday’s win as Collingwood surged to their highest ever score. She finished the game collecting 14 disposals, laying six tackles and had five score involvements, which included a goal in the second quarter.
