FREMANTLE'S named side has taken a big hit just an hour out from an important match against Melbourne due to the AFLW's health and safety protocols.
Ebony Antonio, Kara Antonio and Emma O'Driscoll will all miss, joining Gabby O'Sullivan and Amy Franklin who were already out of the side through protocols in yesterday's team announcement.
Ann McMahon will come into the side for her first game since round five, and Maggie MacLachlan will make her debut after being added to the Dockers' list on the eve of the 2021 season.
Stretched for available players, top up player Mikayla Western will also come into the side after some impressive performances at WAFLW level so far this season. Western is a quick half forward who can get up onto the wing.
These changes take Fremantle's debut count to 11 for the year, the most in the competition.
