ADELAIDE star midfielder Anne Hatchard has capped off a remarkable season, winning the best-on-ground medal in the Crows' 13-point premiership win.

Hatchard was simply superb throughout the match, recording 25 disposals, nine marks, six tackles, five clearances and 568m gained.

She won the count with 14 of a possible 15 votes, ahead of Ebony Marinoff (six) and Danielle Ponter (five).

Hatchard came agonisingly close to winning the AFLW best and fairest earlier this week, falling one vote short of Brisbane's Emily Bates.

"To come out and snag that medal – I wouldn't be getting it without the girls. They've pushed me so hard, especially Ebony Marinoff, having her in the mids, it just opens up the game for both of us to have two strong midfielders," Hatchard said in her post-match press conference.

"It's the best feeling you can have. After last season's heartbreak, to come back here and play our Crows footy and get the win – I have no words, it's amazing."

Hatchard's work-rate was second to none, whether it was dropping back to be a spare in defence and taking an intercept mark, creating chaos around the contest or gut-running forward to create overlap.

"Out on the field, I felt like we were in control of the game, and then when that last goal (Ponter) was kicked, I felt pretty confident going into the rest of the game," Hatchard said.

"This (premiership) medal means a lot. It's all the hard work the team's put together, so to have a third one of these, it just blows my mind.

"I never thought I'd be sitting here after six years with three medals. It's just insane. It's a credit to our group, we've just worked so hard together and I can't wait to celebrate with the girls."

Speaking in the jam-packed rooms post-match, coach Matthew Clarke addressed the players, staff and families.

"We talk about playing for the 15 minutes after a win, and this is a big one," Clarke said.

"This one is even better. Because this one goes forward, and it also goes back. Because now, we've got three.

"In the future, when they talk about the AFLW, they'll say 'what the hell was going on with those Adelaide Crows?'"
