FORWARD-turned-midfielder Rebecca Beeson has won Greater Western Sydney's AFLW best and fairest award.
Beeson polled 54 votes, edging out fellow onballer Alicia Eva and forward Cora Staunton (equal second on 52), to claim the Gabrielle Trainor Medal at a function at Rosehill Gardens on Wednesday night.
The 22-year-old Beeson played every game for the Giants for the third straight year. She averaged 16.3 disposals (72 per cent disposal efficiency), 3.1 tackles and two marks in 2019, and was named in the initial squad for the Virgin Australia AFLW All Australian team.
"Bec had a fabulous season transitioning from playing almost predominantly half-forward last year into the midfield this year," Giants coach Alan McConnell said.
"She was given multiple roles throughout the year, playing as an inside midfielder, on the wing and sometimes at half-forward. Her ability to use the ball well was pivotal in a number of our games."
Alyce Parker finished fifth in the count and was won the club's Rising Star Award.
Defender Emma Swanson won the Coaches' Award, forward Christina Bernardi took home both the leading goalkicker and mark of the year awards, and Irishwoman Yvonne Bonner won the goal of the year prize.
