DUAL sports star Monique Conti has won the Western Bulldogs' AFLW best and fairest award.
The midfielder finished with 161 votes, beating fellow onballer and co-captain Ellie Blackburn. Aisling Utri, also a midfielder, was third. Blackburn led at the end of round four voting, with Conti racing home in the final three rounds.
Conti, who also plays basketball for the Melbourne Boomers in the WNBL, averaged 18 disposals, 11 contested possessions and four clearances.
The 19-year-old was also named the club's best young player for the second year running. Earlier in the week, she was selected in the Virgin Australia AFLW All Australian team.
