BRISBANE has confirmed defender Lily Postlethwaite has ruptured her right ACL in her comeback from a left ACL tear.
The 20-year-old had played a handful of QAFLW games earlier this year, but the win over Fremantle was Postlethwaite's first AFLW game since round four, 2021.
"It's absolutely heartbreaking news for Lily and the entire team," Brisbane head of women's football Bree Brock said.
"She left no stone unturned in her recovery from her previous injury and played out the vast majority of the recent QAFLW season, so it feels like a particularly cruel twist of fate for her season to end this way.
"The team and the club will rally around Lily to provide her with our full support during her recovery."
The Lions currently have Kate Lutkins on the comeback from a torn ACL, while Gabby Collingwood and Bella Smith are on the inactive list due to knee reconstructions.
Earlier this week, Sydney cleared Montana Ham of a torn ACL, with the No.1 pick set to miss 3-4 weeks with a knee joint strain, while West Coast is yet to confirm the severity of Kellie Gibson's knee injury.
