WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Swan Districts ended Peel Thunder’s hopes of a Premiership three-peat, eliminating Peel from the finals after a five-point victory at Lane Group Stadium. East Fremantle booked its spot in the WAFLW Grand Final, coming from behind to come away with a five-point win over Claremont.

AFLW-Listed Players

 Fremantle forward Ashley Sharp will remain on the club's inactive list for the upcoming AFLW season but the crafty forward kicked two crucial goals for Swan Districts in the win over Peel Thunder.

State League Players

Swan Districts' Ruby Mahony and Natalie House were amongst the best in their side's win with both players picking up 15 disposals.

Western Australian Under-18 draft hopeful Abbygail Busbhy also played a role in Swan Districts' win finishing with 18 disposals, six tackles and a goal.

Ella Roberts, another top WA draft prospect, was one of Peel Thunder’s best, gathering 24 disposals and creating plenty of opportunities inside 50.

Sabreena Duffy led the disposals with a game high 26 and Bella Mann was also highlighted for efforts in the loss.

East Fremantle’s Sharon Wong led her side with 20 disposals, 11 tackles and and five inside 50s to help her side earn its spot in the Grand Final. 

Zipporah Fish had 15 disposals, six marks and eight tackles in the win while Alex Williams was one of the best for the Sharks. 

Claremont’s Madeleine Scanlon and Jasmin Stewart led all disposal getters on the ground with their 27 and 24 respectively but it wasn’t enough to get the Tigers over the line.

VICTORIA 

Essendon went through to the VFLW Grand Final with a dominant 67-point win over the Casey Demons. The Southern Saints eliminated Hawthorn from the VFLW finals and are through to the Preliminary Final.

AFLW-Listed Players

Georgia Nanscawen had a dominant performance in the Bombers' win, picking up 25 disposals, seven marks, seven tackles and a goal.

Irish recruit Joanne Doonan kicked three goals in a lively performance inside 50 and Jordan Zanchetta and Alana Barba found plenty of the footy.

State League Players

Essendon’s Amelia Radford kicked one goal from her 22 disposals in a strong display against Casey.

Melanie Hogg and Maeve Chaplin were two of Casey's best, picking up 14 and 15 disposals respectively.

The Southern Saints' Hannah Stuart put in another strong finals performance to help her side advance to the Preliminary Final, finishing with 29 disposals, seven marks, eight tackles and a goal.

Tayla Kearns was dangerous inside 50 with her three goals and Deanna Joliffe was at her intercepting best at half-back taking eight marks and collecting 22 disposals. Sarah Black was dominant in the ruck for the Southern Saints.

For Hawthorn, Grace McCrae led with her 19 disposals, eight clearances and five tackles as did Kristy Stratton with her 18 disposals and goal.

Kaitlin Cox had one of the highlights of the day with her goal from inside the centre square while Ellie McLinden and Nicole Garner did well in defence for the Hawks.

NEW SOUTH WALES

The Pennant Hills Demons enjoyed a 30-point win over the Inner West Magpies. North Shore Bombers held Macquarie University to just one goal in its 42-point win away from home. Just 10 points separated Manly Warringah Wolves and the Southern Power at quarter-time but the Wolves piled on eight goals to one over the next three quarters to win by 53 points. Sydney University and the UTS Bats played out a thriller at Sydney University Oval with the home side holding on by three points. The East Coast Eagles remain on top of the ladder after a 47-point win over the UNSW-ES Bulldogs. 

AFLW-Listed Players  

Emily Goodsir continued her impressive return to football for the Manly Warringah Wolves with the Giant among her side's best in its win. 

State League Players

Brianna-Lee Wade was in Pennant Hills' best for her three-goal performance against the Inner West Magpies, while Kaitlin Noble and Laura Donohoe were noted for their efforts in the win.

Inner West Magpies' Sarah Tutt kicked all three of the Magpies' goals and Madeline Convery was in the votes for her efforts.

North Shore Bombers' Lucy Krimmer was deemed the best for her side in the win and Melissa Brydon was also among the best for her four-goal performance.

Lauren Bourgeois kicked a goal and picked up votes for her efforts in the Manly Warringah Wolves' win alongside Isobella Tremauville.

Southern Power young gun Jessica Whelan was her side's best in the loss to the Wolves.

Bella Gray had a hand in Sydney University’s thrilling win over the UTS Bats with her two goals as did Emma Gelsomino who was in the best for her efforts.

Imogen Brown and Jessica Quade combined for all six of the UTS Bats' goals while the efforts of Ruby Harrison and Julia Geros just weren't enough to get their side over the line.

East Coast Eagles’ win was off the back of strong performances from Emma Scriven, Jade Swabey and Bryany Parker.

For the Bulldogs it was Shelby Koh and Emily Conlan amongst the best for their efforts in the loss to the Eagles.
