Melbourne and North Melbourne AFLW club members will be able to do so from 10am on Tuesday, with general public tickets going on sale at 3pm AEST on Tuesday, August 23.

"We're focused on ensuring our AFLW teams can play large stadiums wherever logistically possible," AFL executive general manager of clubs, finance and broadcasting Travis Auld said.

"We'll continue to champion our women's teams and highlight the amazing talent we have throughout the league by facilitating these kinds of opportunities."

The remaining unscheduled round two games have now been locked in on the Saturday:

  • Richmond v Adelaide at the Swinburne Centre, 11.40am AEST
  • Fremantle v Geelong at Fremantle Oval, 11.40am AWST
  • Port Adelaide v Western Bulldogs at Alberton Oval, 1.10pm ACST

Tickets for these matches will go on sale Tuesday, August 30 at 10am for members and 2pm for the public.

"This is such a well-deserved and momentous occasion for these two AFLW teams – to be able to run out on the MCG and play amazing football in front of a huge crowd ahead of a final is an amazing opportunity and one we're so glad we've made a reality," AFL general manager women's football Nicole Livingstone said.

"The demand we've seen for AFLW tickets has been huge – first we moved the Hawthorn and Essendon game to Marvel and now Melbourne and North opening for a final at the MCG speaks volumes to how much the community is getting behind women's football."
