ADELAIDE skipper Chelsea Randall has escaped serious damage to her ankle but is still at risk of missing finals.
The courageous Randall went over on her ankle in a marking contest on Friday night and sat out the final minutes of the Crows' loss to Brisbane after needing assistance from trainers to leave the field.
Adelaide has said she is expected to miss three to five weeks; with two rounds remaining, a minimum of three weeks would see Randall sit out at least the first week of finals.
"Scans have shown that Chelsea suffered a high-grade ankle sprain after landing awkwardly from a marking contest," Adelaide head of women's footy Phil Harper said.
"Chelsea will be pushing hard to be fit to play for finals and we will do all we can to support her in her rehabilitation."
Adelaide also has Ailish Considine (hamstring, three weeks) and McKenzie Dowrick (ACL, season) on its injury list.
