THERE'S a new tipping champion in town, with journalist Michael Whiting taking out top honours in womens.afl's tipping competition.

Known as 'Fish' to his colleagues and the wider footy world, Whiting took a three-point lead into the final round of the season, and still managed to gain on runner-up Libby Birch.

The third tier on the podium was very crowded, with Riley Beveridge, Sarah Black, Nat Edwards and Nathan Schmook all tying for bronze with 72 points.

Sarah Olle was next best with 70 points, while stats guru Gemma Bastiani finished on 65, with Lucy Watkin and West Coast captain Emma Swanson bringing up the rear on 60 points each.
