SANFLW

Norwood v West Adelaide 

Norwood broke away from West Adelaide in the last quarter to cement its spot in the SANFLW finals with a 16-point win.

Tahlita Buethke was impressive for Norwood finishing with 21 touches, seven tackles and an important last-quarter goal to help the Redlegs over the line. 

Former Collingwood and Richmond midfielder Iilish Ross led the tackle count with her 12 while Zoe Venning put in another complete performance for West Adelaide kicking two goals from 17 disposals and taking four marks. 

Sturt v South Adelaide

Sturt and South Adelaide played out a one-point thriller, with the Panthers securing the win and top spot on the SANFLW ladder while Sturt sees itself outside of the top four for the first time since round five. 

Brooke Boileau and Caitlin Couch both finished with 20 disposals, five marks and eight and seven tackles, respectively for the Panthers. Soriah Moon contested well in the ruck for South Adelaide. 

For Sturt, Kate Harris was impressive in the clinches collecting 23 disposals, 14 tackles and seven clearances. Isobel Kuiper and India Rasheed also did their best to keep Sturt on top. 

Glenelg v North Adelaide 

Three unanswered goals in the second quarter set up Glenelg's eight-point win over North Adelaide. The win puts the Bays back in finals contention and makes its round 12 clash against Sturt a must-watch for women's footy fans. 

Piper Window did it all for Glenelg, collecting 19 disposals, seven tackles and kicking a goal in the win. Chelsea Packer was dangerous around goals with her two majors and Tamsyn Morris was also important in the win. 

North Adelaide's Jess Edwards led the disposals for both teams with her 28 and Kristi Harvey's workrate was on display with her 24 disposals and 10 marks. 

Woodville-West Torrens Central District

Central District shored up its spot in the SANFLW finals with a 19-point win over Woodville-West Torrens. 

Top South Australian draft prospect Elaine Grigg put in another tough performance for the Bulldogs with her 19 disposals, eight tackles and a goal. Jasmine Evans was also important with her three goals for the Dogs. 

Another top prospect Shineah Goody also finished with 19 disposals and Eagles teammates Jemma Whitington-Charity and Kayleigh May both kicked three goals in the loss. 

VFLW

Carlton v Western Bulldogs

Carlton came away 35-point winners to hand the Bulldogs its biggest loss of the season in the process. 

The Blues had plenty of AFLW stars on hand in the win with Gab Pound, Keeley Sherar and Keeley Skepper all contributing in the win. 

VFLW player Chloe Wrigley and Amelia Klingbeil were also some of the Blues' biggest contributors. 

Tahlia Meier again led the disposal count for the Bulldogs with 20 while Dom Carbone had 10 tackles. 

Box Hill v Essendon 

Essendon made it five wins in a row and rose to the top three with its 17-point win over the wayward Hawks. 

AFLW-listed midfielder Amelia Radford put in an all-round performance in the win finishing with 29 touches, five tackles and a goal while Georgia Clarke continues to show why she will be a handy pick-up for the Bombers ahead of season eight.

Jordan Mifsud was again working hard for the Hawks while Grace McCrae had an impressive 15 tackles. 

Southern Saints v Port Melbourne 

Southern Saints held on to defeat Port Melbourne by three points to bounce back after their loss to Essendon in round seven. 

Winnie Laing had a breakout game against the Borough, finishing with 24 disposals, four marks and five tackles. Gabby De Angelis was also one the Southern Saints' best with her two goals, 20 touches and seven tackles.

Olivia Barton and Lauren Caruso continue to show their importance to the Borough despite the loss. 

Casey v Williamstown

Casey broke its five-game losing streak with a six-point win over Williamstown at DSV Stadium. 

Shannon Danckert and Mel Hogg were instrumental in the win with their 19 and 15 touches respectively with Dankhert also applying plenty of pressure with 10 tackles. 

Nicole Julian found plenty of the footy for the Seagulls and Sydney's Bridie Kennedy was impressive with her a goal from her 17 touches. 

Darebin v Geelong

Darebin remain without a win after its 29-point defeat at the hands of Geelong at La Trobe University.

Abby Favell had plenty of the football finishing with 28 touches, seven marks and six tackles for the Cats. Breanna Pratt kicked two goals from her 17 touches and Olivia Fuller also player a hand in the win with her goal from 16 touches.

Collingwood v North Melbourne

Five unanswered goals to North in the final quarter saw the Roos almost steal the win but Collingwood did enough to hold on by 10 points and move into a share of top spot on the ladder. 

Jess Bates continues to impress in her first season of VFLW putting in another dominant display that saw her finish with 31 disposals, seven tackles and two goals. 

Monique De Matteo showed off how dangerous she is inside 50 with her two goals and Elizabeth Jackson and Caitlin Bunker were impressive through the middle.

Emily Paterno, Sophia McCarthy and Audrey Rhodes each kicked two goals in the final-quarter flourish with Rhodes also finding plenty of the football.

WAFLW

Peel Thunder v Claremont

Claremont was too good for Peel Thunder at Lane Group Stadium, running away 56-points winners at the final siren. 

Delisted Docker Matilda Sergeant continues to put in big performances for Claremont, finishing with 29 touches on the weekend. Jayme Harken also had 29 touches while Ella Slocombe and Brooke Whyte both kicked two goals. 

Ebony Dowson's strong form for Peel Thunder continued finishing the game with 27 disposals and four marks. 

East Perth v South Fremantle

South Fremantle piled on the goals, posting 110 points against East Perth to come away 104-point winners. 

Casey Byrne showed off her skills inside 50 kicking five goals in the win while Bethany Bond and Charli Wicksteed won plenty of the football for the Bulldogs. 

East Fremantle v Subiaco

A fast start from Subiaco set up its win over East Fremantle at the WACA, the Lions prevailing by 10 points. 

For Subiaco it was the combination of Tarnica Gosliano and Olivia Crane who helped set up the Lions' win.

Roxy Roux featured for East Fremantle finishing with 13 disposals, four marks and five tackles while Anjelique Raison kicked all three of the Sharks goals.

West Perth v Swan Districts

Seven goals to one in the second half to Swan Districts helped them get a 50-point win over West Perth.

Courtney Zappara starred for Swan Districts kicking six goals from 19 disposals in a complete performance. Kayley King and Ruby Mahony found plenty of the football for Swan Districts.

QAFLW

Aspley v Bond University

Just one goal separated Aspley and Bond University at the final siren, with the Hornets holding on for the win.

Rachel Vetter and Courtney Daniec both kicked multiple goals for Aspley and Louise Tyson and Angela Lingard were commended for their work in the win. 

Former Brisbane and Gold Coast Suns captain Leah Kaslar was among the best for Bond University in the loss alongside Lily Tarlinton and Charlotte Taylor.

Yeronga South Brisbane v University of Queensland

After a tight first half, University of Queensland was able to break away from Yeronga to claim its second win of 2023 by 12 points. 

Jane Childes and Gracie Champion were important for University of Queensland and Kadie Fletcher added one of the highlights of the season with a big contested pack mark.

Taylah Welch and Kara Stock were among the best for Yeronga in the loss.

Southport v Maroochydore

Southport had a commanding win over Maroochydore to go two games clear atop the WAFLW ladder. 

Darcie Davies showed why Gold Coast got special permission to sign the teenager with her three goals in the win. 

Former Geelong player Carly Remmos was also in Southport's best in the win as was vice-captain Rianna Schipp.

Wilston Grange v Coorparoo

Just three points separated Wilston Grange and Coorparoo at half-time but Grange was able to break away in the third quarter and hold on for a five-point win. 

Naomi Celebre kicked two important goals and was in Wilston Grange's best players for her efforts in the win alongside Mia Geere and Mackenzie Findlay.

For Coorparoo it was Lucy Schneider and Stacey Francis who were the difference in the loss.
