GRAND Finals have been played, flags have been won and players have written themselves into club folklore with match-winning performances.
Women's state league footy has wrapped up around the country, with the first portion of our two-part feature looking at the action from the Adelaide Footy League, AFL Canberra, the QAFLW and AFL Sydney.
Adelaide Footy League
While South Adelaide won the SANFLW premiership at the end of May, comfortably accounting for North Adelaide by 22 points, it was Adelaide University which triumphed in the Adelaide Footy League over winter.
The Blacks avenged last year's Grand Final loss to Salisbury in the nail-biting two-point win over SMOSH West Lakes Lions, a team playing its first year in the premier division.

The Lions had a more-than-useful coach in Greg Phillips, Port Adelaide SANFL legend and father of Erin, and jumped to a nine-point lead at half-time before struggling to convert their chances in the second half.
Matilda Van Riel (Adelaide University) and Hannah Ewings (SMOSH West Lakes) were named best for their respective sides.

AFL Canberra
Queanbeyan avenged its sole loss of the season at the hands of Belconnen by comfortably accounting for the Magpies by 48 points.
Midfielder Hannah Dunn, who was an injury replacement player for GWS in 2017, was named best afield with teammate Jacqui Parry booting five goals.
Dunn has made her wish to return to the AFLW clear, having spent the first half of the year playing for Norwood in the SANFLW, where she also won a flag.
The Tigers kept the Magpies scoreless until the third term, and goalless up until the final minutes of the match, when league best and fairest Maggie Gorham kicked a major.

QAFLW
Coorparoo thrashed Bond University by 76 points to claim the flag after losing the past two Grand Finals.
Young key forward Jesse Wardlaw (pictured in lead image above) starred with six goals and was ably supported by her senior Brisbane teammate Emma Zielke with three.
Jess Wuetschner, who we're accustomed to seeing cause havoc up forward for Brisbane in the AFLW, dominated across half-back, while Gold Coast recruit Paige Parker was named best on ground.
For Bond Uni, Suns Molly Ritson and Kalinda Howarth hit the scoreboard.

AFL Sydney
Macquarie Uni just hung on to avenge last year's premiership, defeating this season's surprise packet in East Coast by six points.
East Coast was playing its first season in the premier division, and was just a handful of seconds away from the competition's leading goalkicker Rylee McGartland taking a mark in the goalsquare and going to extra-time.
Macquarie's Lisa Steane was best on ground, while under-18 Brenna Tarrent – who played for the Eastern Allies in this year's NAB AFLW under-18 championships – was named best for the Eagles.
There was plenty of GWS representation, with skipper Amanda Farrugia, zippy midfielder Haneen Zreika and former Giants Delma Gisu and Renee Tomkins all playing well.
