SENIOR Greater Western Sydney midfielder Bec Beeson is facing another stint on the sidelines after an injury-interrupted 2022 season.
The inaugural Giant missed six matches with an ankle injury earlier this year, but is currently working her way through concussion protocols.
The 2019 Giants best and fairest has no timeframe on her return to football.
"Concussion, it's just one of those things where you just don't want to take any risks," GWS coach Cam Bernasconi said.
AFLW INJURY LIST How healthy is your team?
"You know, there's more to life than footy, and your brain is pretty important to everything you do. We're working with Bec at the moment to make sure she's in a place where she's symptom free while progressing through the concussion protocols.
"She's working through that at the moment, but is struggling to get past that stage.
"We've put our arms around Bec at the moment, and we just hope she can recover well, most importantly, No.1 is her health.
"But absolutely, we're really looking forward to her getting herself right, because she's one who is such a good player, but even a person to have around the group. We're hoping she can step forward with this concussion at the moment."

Bernasconi took the coaching reins from Al McConnell over the off-season, and has implemented a new, attacking game style in the hope of loosening up the playing group and increasing scoring, while decreasing the reliance on Cora Staunton.
The Giants lost to the Western Bulldogs by seven points in last week's first official hitout, but Bernasconi saw plenty of promising signs.
"I think there were some really positive takeaways from the weekend. We didn't get the result, which was disappointing, but having a new gameplan and coaching personnel, it's going to take some time," Bernasconi said.
"But the key takeaway we got out of it is we're starting to change the way we play. Statistically, straight away we're seeing that's what happened. We're looking to move the ball faster and probably chain out of stoppage a little bit more.
"As much as we didn't get the four points, which is disappointing, there were lot of key takeaways that this group has adapted to the way we want to play and there was a really good feeling in the group.
"It was the first game for a few players, probably get the nerves out of the way, for me as well as head coach, so I think we've really settled this week and there's a really good vibe in the group this week as well."
GWS will take on Brisbane at Manuka Oval on Sunday, marking Canberran Bernasconi's first match coaching on his home deck.
