The AFL is pleased to announce that Thomas Chrystie (Field Umpire), Trent Bowes (Boundary Umpire), and Adam Stegar (Goal Umpire) are revealed as the AFLW All-Australian Umpires.
This is the first season that the AFL has awarded All-Australian Umpires for the NAB AFLW competition.
The three All-Australian Umpires were selected based on their performances across the 2022 NAB AFLW Season Seven competition.
One field umpire, one boundary umpire, and one goal umpire were selected by the AFLW Umpire Coaches.
The 2022 NAB AFLW Season Seven All-Australian Umpires are:
Thomas Chrystie. Field Umpire. 15 AFLW matches
Trent Bowes. Boundary Umpire. 41 AFLW matches
Adam Stegar. Goal Umpire. 21 AFLW matches
AFLW Umpires Head Coach, Cam Douglas, said all three umpires are immensely talented and bring a wealth of experience to the competition.
"Adam, Thomas and Trent are all experienced umpires. The coaches have challenged the umpires to improve and take their game to another level," Douglas said.
"They have continued to take the feedback on board, train hard, review their matches diligently and develop themselves into consistently high-performing umpires."
