THE AFL has ticked off the decision to call Gemma Houghton's late shot on goal as a behind.
Both the goal and closest field umpire signalled that the ball had touched the post, but Port Adelaide players celebrated the apparent goal.
The shot came in the final two minutes of the match, which St Kilda won by just two points, kicking 4.11.
"The AFL is satisfied with the goal umpires’ decision and subsequent signal that the ball touched the post," a provided statement read.
Womens.afl has obtained behind-the-goals footage of the set shot, however it's inconclusive as the camera angle doesn't include the left goalpost - the one the ball allegedly hit.
Power players in the goalsquare can be seen celebrating.
It follows a similar controversy during round eight, wherein the AFL confirmed a behind kicked by Sydney's Molly Eastman should have been signalled as a goal.
