KIARA Bowers' season may now be over, but she's left an impact on the NAB AFLW competition.
The Dockers superstar was first picked in the final womens.afl Team of the Week, producing an astonishing 34 disposals, 22 tackles (record), eight clearances and 481m gained against Hawthorn.
The team is selected to mirror the All-Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.
Like the All-Australian team, it has players selected in general categories, rather than in traditional positions. The 16-a-side set-up often means teams play with varying configurations, making set selections (e.g wings and flanks) difficult.
DEFENDERS
Chelsea Biddell (Adelaide), Libby Birch (Melbourne), Nat Grider (Brisbane), Jodie Hicks (GWS), Laura Pugh (Fremantle)
Birch (17 disposals, 11 intercepts) was back to her best, Biddell (14 disposals at 93 per cent efficiency, nine intercepts) kept Adelaide in the match and Grider (13, eight intercepts, six marks) performed strongly yet again.
Hicks' triumphant return season to AFLW level was capped off with 13 disposals and 408m gained and Pugh (18, eight intercepts) kept a cool head under pressure.

MIDFIELDERS
Alice Edmonds (Western Bulldogs, ruck), Ellie Blackburn (Western Bulldogs), Kiara Bowers (Fremantle), Ebony Marinoff (Adelaide), Amy McDonald (Geelong), Maddy Prespakis (Essendon)
Edmonds (28 hitouts, 10 disposals, eight tackles) just shaded Breann Moody in a heavyweight ruck battle.
Her skipper Blackburn (23 disposals, nine clearances, 570m gained, two goals) produced a game for the ages with the season on the line, Marinoff (29, 580m gained, nine tackles, nine clearances) controlled proceedings in Moorabbin and McDonald (34, 11 clearances) did the same down the highway.
Prespakis (24, eight clearances) was best afield as Essendon closed out its season, and Bowers (34, a record 22 tackles, eight clearances) impossibly keeps lifting the bar.

FORWARDS
Georgia Garnett (GWS), Courtney Hodder (Brisbane), Kate Hore (Melbourne), Chloe Scheer (Geelong), Aine Tighe (Fremantle)
Tall forward Tighe and small Scheer top-scored for the round, booting four goals apiece in commanding performances.
Garnett (14, three goals) produced one final reminder why her move forward was a success, Hore (16, nine tackles, two goals) created chaos in attack and Hodder (12, nine tackles, two goals) was the best of a strong Brisbane forward line.
INTERCHANGE
Ally Anderson (Brisbane), Daria Bannister (Essendon), Ellie McKenzie (Richmond), Liv Purcell (Melbourne), Darcy Vescio (Carlton)
Anderson (26, three clearances) is building nicely into finals, as is Purcell (21, five clearances), while McKenzie (16, five tackles, two goals) was the "match-winner" in Richmond's draw.
Vescio (12 and four marks) went at 100 per cent efficiency in wet conditions, and Bannister (11 and two) similarly thrived in the rain.
