A HUGE 10 players have been named All-Australian for the first time, as Emma Kearney continues her run, presented her seventh straight guernsey.

Kearney is the only player to be named in every AFLW All-Australian team to date, as her star North Melbourne teammate Jasmine Garner – selected for the fifth time – was announced as captain to recognise her outstanding season.

The Lions and Crows boasted the most inclusions with four apiece, while big improvers Geelong and Richmond each landed three additions to the side. Nine clubs in total were represented in the final side.

A first timer, Brisbane captain Breanna Koenen was announced as vice-captain. Fellow Lions Jesse Wardlaw and Greta Bodey earned their first selection, while Natalie Grider was one of just six players to be named in both All-Australian sides this year.

Adelaide interceptor Chelsea Biddell is another fresh face, while captain Chelsea Randall and dynamic midfield duo Anne Hatchard and Ebony Marinoff rounded out the side's inclusions.

Kate Hore and Olivia Purcell are the two Melbourne representatives in the side, indicating the even spread of contribution at the Demons this season.

Richmond leading goalkicker Courtney Wakefield has become the first player to be named in the side for the first time in their final season, as Wakefield announced her retirement after the Tigers' semi-final loss to North Melbourne. Meanwhile, teammate Eilish Sheerin has made the side in her first season thanks to her impressive intercepting and rebounding role out of Richmond's defence.

Star midfielder Monique Conti rounds out the Tigers' three selections.

For the first time, sisters have been named in the same All-Australian team with both Georgie and Maddy Prespakis getting the call up for outstanding seasons for Geelong and Essendon respectively. All-Australian debutants Chloe Scheer and Amy McDonald join Prespakis as the Cats' trio of inclusions.

In the battle of the rucks Breann Moody has won out, winning her second selection in the side and Western Bulldogs' defender Katie Lynch's impressive season has been rewarded with her first All-Australian honours.
