THE AFL is pleased to announce this year's National Anthem will be sung by Queensland's Cody Simpson at the 2022 NAB AFLW Grand Final Season Seven today at Brighton Homes Arena.

The Australian born 25-year-old is multi-talented; a guitarist, singer songwriter, Olympian, performing artist and more. As a young teenager Simpson began to record songs in his bedroom, which eventually lead him to a deal with Atlantic Records which he signed in New York City on his 13th birthday.

Today Simpson is an established global artist, with hits that have broken into the top 20 in Australia and the top 10 of the Billboard Top 200. He has signed with Scooter Braun and toured with Justin Bieber in the US, Europe, and Australia.

Simpson has three Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards, an MTV Europe Music Award and a Young Hollywood Award, as well as being named among GQ's Men of the Year and winner of The Masked Singer Australia.

Simpson's energy and ability to connect with his home audience in Queensland will be on full display when he sings the National Anthem at Brighton Homes Arena.

Gates to the 2022 NAB AFLW Grand Final Season Seven open at noon on Sunday, November 27. Simpson's performance and the match will be broadcast live on the Seven Network, FOX FOOTY, and Kayo. It will be streamed live via the womens.afl and the AFLW Official App.
