A MEGA three-club, five-player deal between Collingwood, St Kilda and North Melbourne is set to kickstart the AFLW's sign and trade period, when the official window opens at 12pm AEDT on Friday.

The move is expected to see the Pies secure midfielder Tarni White and the versatile Grace Campbell, while the Saints will land experienced duo Steph Chiocci and Jaimee Lambert, and the Kangaroos will lock away key forward Kate Shierlaw.

North Melbourne has also sent its first-round selection (15) in the upcoming Season Eight Supplementary Draft to Collingwood, while the Magpies parted with their second-rounder (31), sending it to St Kilda to round out the deal.

The bones of the trade, first revealed by womens.afl last month, have long been hashed out between the three clubs with more parts such as draft picks expected to be involved, and could be among the first deals made official on Friday.

Collingwood secured a surprise commitment from White, who had also attracted interest from Gold Coast, opening the door for a potential package deal involving St Kilda targets Chiocci and Lambert.

The Pies will also add Campbell from the Kangaroos as part of the deal, with the 27-year-old still recovering from an ACL injury sustained in August. Her involvement presented the opportunity for Shierlaw, the Saints' reigning best and fairest, to make her way to Arden Street as part of the three-club trade.

It's set to kickstart a busy trade period for St Kilda, which had landed a commitment from Brisbane's reigning AFLW leading goalkicker Jesse Wardlaw earlier this year, as Nick Dal Santo's side looks for quick improvements next season.

As previously revealed by womens.afl, the club's own former AFLW leading goalkicker Caitlin Greiser is tipped to head to Richmond. That could unlock a deal for Wardlaw, with Gold Coast also likely to become involved in another three-club trade.

Suns midfielder Ellie Hampson has been tipped to head to the Lions as part of the Wardlaw move, while Serene Watson and Saints defender Clara Fitzpatrick could also be involved to make it happen.

The Tigers are also likely to be busy and could land Courtney Jones from the Suns, while Swans midfielder Molly Eastman is another attracting interest from Victorian clubs and is expected to move.

But Richmond could lose utility Kodi Jacques to Essendon, while experienced defender Harriet Cordner has attracted interest from Carlton.

Elsewhere, Greater Western Sydney ruck Jess Allan is tipped to head to Adelaide. But the Giants, as well as Hawthorn, are in the market for talented Brisbane forward Luka Yoshida-Martin.

The AFLW's priority signing period for expansion clubs finished at 2pm AEDT on Wednesday, with clubs only able to fill seven of a possible 13 spots, with existing sides now able to dabble in the trade space from Friday afternoon.
