West Perth v Subiaco 

Subiaco continues to push for a spot in the top four thanks to a strong 36-point win over West Perth. 

Hayley Corlett bagged her second two-goal game in as many weeks to lead Subiaco, while Tiah TothEva Popovsky and Fina Dethlefsen shared the rest of the goals.

Toth was the leading disposal winner on the ground with 17, while Tarnica Golisano had 16 disposals and laid six tackles for the game. 

Taylor Ferguson was West Perth's most prolific ball-winner with 14, while Claire Norbury brought the pressure with her six tackles. 

East Perth v Claremont 

Claremont remains clear first on the WAFLW ladder, further bolstered by a 39-point win over East Perth on Saturday. 

Former Fremantle AFLW player Matilda Sergeant starred for the away side, winning 23 disposals, laying seven tackles, and sending the ball inside 50 four times, while teammate Jayme Harken had 21 disposals and seven tackles of her own. 

Claremont's goalkicking came via five different players, with reliable forward Adele Arnup the only one to kick multiple goals for the day, taking her season tally to 26. 

For East Perth, Matilda Bennett showed off her wares in the ruck, winning a whopping 45 hitouts for the day to lead all comers, while Jorja Elisseou worked hard all day, finishing with 17 disposals and six tackles. 

Peel Thunder v East Fremantle 

Peel Thunder has been held scoreless by East Fremantle, as the latter retains grip on a top-four spot. 

A trio of Sharks – Elsie SimpsonTiani Teakle and Mylee Leitch – each kicked two goals in the side's 58-point win, while Georgie Cleaver and Anjelique Raison also hit the scoreboard. 

Larissa Versaci and Samara Pluschke were key parts of East Fremantle's attacking push, combining for 11 inside 50s, 30 disposals and 10 tackles, while exciting underage talent Zipporah Fish (21 disposals, eight tackles) showed why AFLW clubs are keen to sign her.

Despite a tough result, Evie Cowcher (29 disposals, five tackles), Abby Barnden (13 disposals, 11 tackles) and Greta McKinley (16 disposals, 10 tackles) worked hard all day. 

Swan Districts v South Fremantle 

South Fremantle has posted a vital win over Swan Districts to remain in second spot on the ladder, a game and a half ahead of the Swans. 

Swan Districts forward Taylah Edwards kicked two final-quarter goals to challenge the Bulldogs, only to fall three points short of victory. 

Hunter CroninElla Matthews and Bethany Bond each kicked a goal for the Bulldogs, with Bond also responsible for four inside 50 entries. 

South Fremantle's leading ball-winner was Renee Morgan with 23, as she also took eight marks and laid eight tackles in a commanding performance. 

Naomi Baker and Tyla Fitzgerald combined for 17 tackles for the home side, while Ruby Mahony won 15 disposals to lead the home side. 

QAFLW 

Aspley v Maroochydore 

Aspley has piled on the pain for Maroochydore, putting it away by 36 points thanks to a strong four-goal second quarter. As a result, the Hornets are still more than a game clear in third spot on the ladder, just half a game behind Bond University. 

Jessica Stallard and Mikayla Martin combined for five goals, while exciting Lions Academy prospect Rania Crozier was among those who kicked singles for Aspley. 

Lucy Thompson and Lucy Pengelly were among the named best players for the home side.

Maroochydore enjoyed goals via Kaiya Hides and Hayley Edgar, while Sophie Peters, fresh from a strong performance as part of the AFLW Academy at Marvel Stadium last week, was among the coaches' best. 

Yeronga South Brisbane v Coorparoo 

A masterclass in attack from Chelsea Chesterfield helped Coorparoo to a 29-point victory over a winless Yeronga, firming its place within the top four with just over a month remaining in the 2023 season. 

Coorparoo ran away with it in the final quarter, kicking an inaccurate 2.5 to open up the final margin and win some much-needed percentage. 

Chesterfield kicked five of Coorparoo's six goals, starring for the visitors, as Bonnie Farrell and Hannah McLaughlin both got the nod from the coaches for their performance on Saturday. 

Inactive AFLW Brisbane Lion Zimmorlei Farquharson kicked a goal for Yeronga, as did Tiarnah Isua, while Lions Academy talent Ebony Milne worked hard. 

University of Queensland v Wilston Grange 

A four-goal final term from University of Queensland has narrowed the gap on Wilston Grange, just one spot above it on the ladder, with a 42-point victory over the Gorillas.  

Brooke Sheridan kicked three of University of Queensland's goals, earning a place in the coaches' bests, alongside fellow goalkicker Julia Dawson and vice-captain Lucinda Benjamin

The Red Lions spread the scoring across six different players, proving too much for Wilston Grange's defence to handle. 

For the Gorillas, the coaches acknowledged the work of Kylie Welsh, vice-captain Mackenzie Findlay, captain Chloe LitherlandGemma DonataccioJayme Winter and Caitlyn Rawding

Southport v Bond University 

Bond University has handed Southport its first loss of the season in an impressive display at Fankhauser Reserve on Saturday. 

Lily Tarlinton was important in attack, kicking three of Bond University's goals, while Jasmyn DavidsonHavana HarrisIsabella Iverach and Georgia Johnson shared the rest of the goals. 

Davidson was among the coaches' best for the day, as was Gold Coast Academy prospect Tara Harrington and captain Paris Lightfoot

Despite the loss, Southport enjoyed a strong showing from Stephanie O'Brien and Suns Academy talent Georja Davies, each player kicking two goals. Meanwhile Alessia Smythe and Jess Maher were among those acknowledged by the coaches. 

VFLW 

Western Bulldogs v Carlton 

Carlton has welcomed back captain Christina Bernardi in style, with the forward slamming home four goals in a 29-point win over the Western Bulldogs. 

Maddi Di Cosmo, returning from a week spent with the Under 23 All Stars in a showcase game last week against the AFLW Academy squad, picked up right where she left off for the Blues with 24 disposals, 10 tackles and nine clearances. 

Ashlee Thornycroft (21 disposals, nine tackles) and Isabelle Khoury (19 disposals, eight tackles, one goal) were as influential as ever, while Eliza Wood and Ava Jordan also hit the scoreboard for the Blues. 

For the Bulldogs, Jorja Borg dominated in the ruck, registering 40 hitouts for the day, and their scores came via Jaimi Tabb and Mary Sandral

Sarah Skinner led the home side for disposals with 22, while Dominique Carbone, also returning from the U23 All Stars side, had 21 disposals, five clearances and six tackles for the day. 

Casey Demons v Box Hill Hawks 

A dominant final quarter from Box Hill has seen it post an important 27-point victory over Casey, as it remains right in the hunt for a place in finals. 

There were no multiple goalkickers as the Hawks shared the load across six different players, including a returning Abbey Holmes, in for her first game of the season, and Jade Wise who also laid 10 tackles for the match. 

Jordan Mifsud remains a reliable standard setter for Box Hill, with 19 disposals, four clearances and a huge 15 tackles, as Akayla Peterson registered 17 disposals and five clearances as well. 

Pressure from the Hawks was high, as both Grace McRae and Caitlin Thorne laid 12 and 11 tackles respectively as well. 

Shannon Danckert worked hard for the Demons, with 19 disposals, 10 tackles and six clearances, as Amber Kinnane had 11 disposals, 11 tackles and five clearances of her own. 

Ruck Leah Swain made the most of her height advantage, winning a huge 52 hitouts for the day, to go along with her 14 disposals and four clearances. 

North Melbourne v Darebin 

The Kangaroos have now made it three wins in a row with a 49-point victory over the struggling Darebin Falcons. 

North Melbourne set itself up with a three-goal opening quarter and kept rolling from there as it carried the momentum of recent weeks. 

Midfield duo Audrey Rhodes and Jennifer Guy continued their impressive patch of form, combining for 53 disposals, 15 tackles and 12 clearances. Reni Hicks brought the pressure for the Roos with 11 tackles, while also kicking two goals, finishing the game as the only multiple goalkicker. 

Angelica Gogos was, once again, Darebin's leading ball-winner with 23 disposals, as the veteran also laid 11 tackles and won four clearances. Lauren Jatczak was the Falcons' lone goalkicker, returning after playing in last week's U23 All Star's side. 

Southern Saints v Williamstown 

The Seagulls are on a tear, winning their last five games as they surge toward a final berth, this weekend beating the Southern Saints by four points to move into third spot on the ladder. 

In a see-sawing battle, the Gulls were able to hold on against a fast-finishing Saints side. 

Jasmine Kawa starred for Williamstown from the ruck, with 26 hitouts, 23 disposals and six clearances, proving once again how important she is to her side. Teagan Brett kicked two goals, while Megan Williamson was handy with six clearances and six tackles. 

For the Saints, Alexandra Hynes put her body on the line, laying 17 tackles for the game to go alone with her 28 hitouts and five clearances, while Madison Capsalis (13 disposals, seven clearances) was tough at the contest. 

Winnie LaingTayla Kearns, and Melanie Bertuna shared the goals for the Saints. 

Collingwood v Geelong 

Collingwood has shown off its finals credentials in a dominant, albeit inaccurate, win over Geelong on Sunday morning. 

The Pies piled on two goals and nine behinds in the second quarter to take a 26-point lead into half-time, which ultimately proved too much for the goalless Cats. 

Jess Bates was among the home side's best once again, with 27 disposals, six tackles, six clearances and a goal for the day, while Evangelia Nikolitsis set the tone early, finishing with 24 disposals, six tackles and five clearances. 

Down back, Katelyn Lee led an intercepting masterclass for the Magpies, proving to be a brick wall Geelong simply couldn't break through. 

In her first game since February last year where she ruptured her ACL playing for Richmond's AFLW team, Hannah Burchell worked hard on the wing, winning eight disposals, only interrupted by a knee to the back just before half-time which took some time to work through. 

Charlotte Simpson, another who played in last week's U23 All Stars side, was among the Cats' best with 17 disposals and six tackles, while Kalani Scoullar (24 hitouts, five tackles) did what she could in the ruck. 

Port Melbourne v Essendon 

Port Melbourne has withstood a late press from reigning premier Essendon to maintain its place atop the VFLW ladder with just one home and away round to go. 

Kaitlyn O'Keefe (13 tackles, 15 disposals) worked hard both ways for the Borough, while goals came via Jessie WilliamsNayley Borg and former Essendon AFLW player Federica Frew.  

Lauren Caruso was the home side's leading ball-winner with 17 disposals, while exciting youngster Charley Ryan (nine disposals, seven tackles) made her way through her first game in over a year, returning from an ACL injury and eyeing off her second season on Richmond's AFLW list. 

For the Bombers, Grace Dicker was a powerhouse, winning 21 disposals, 10 clearances and laying 13 tackles as she willed her side on. 

Sophie Molan (22 disposals, eight clearances, seven tackles) was strong against her old side, while El Chaston kicked Essendon's first goal of the day from their 22 disposals.
