FREMANTLE'S Roxanne Roux and Brisbane's Jesse Wardlaw have been named the NAB AFL Women's Rising Star nominees after scintillating performances in round two.

The Dockers received a huge boost from Roux's outstanding contested marking in the forward line in the win over West Coast in the first-ever AFLW derby.
Roux finished with two goals and four marks for the day in the 45-point victory.

Fremantle supporters have been quick to jump on Roux's bandwagon, with her goal celebrations just as exciting as her on-field talents.
Second-year forward Wardlaw played her most outstanding game to date, finishing with three goals from eight disposals.

Wardlaw combined with debutant Dakota Davidson to expose Geelong in the air, as the key forward pairing gave fans an exciting glimpse of the future.
The Lions upset the Cats on the road with a 19-point win at GMHBA Stadium.
Fans won't have to wait long to see these two talented goal kickers line up at opposite ends as the Dockers host the Lions at Fremantle Oval in round five of the NAB AFL Women's Competition.
