JASMINE Garner and Jaimee Lambert made it five straight with yet another lot of selections in womens.afl's Team of the Week.

Their respective teams – North Melbourne and Collingwood – had strong wins on the weekend and three representatives apiece, as did Melbourne and GWS after their thumping victories.

The team is selected to mirror the All-Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.  

Like the All-Australian team, it has players selected in general categories, rather than in traditional positions. The 16-a-side set-up often means teams play with varying configurations, making set selections (e.g wings and flanks) difficult.

Defenders

Elle Bennetts (GWS), Kerryn Harrington (Carlton), Phoebe Monahan (Richmond), Jade Pregelj (Gold Coast), Charlotte Wilson (Carlton)

Harrington (21 disposals, eight marks) was back to her brilliant best, along with her partner in crime Wilson (12 and eight).

Monahan (22) continues to battle away in a torrid season for Richmond, Bennetts' move down back continues to pay dividends and Pregelj's fine season continues at full-back.

Midfielders

Eden Zanker (Melbourne, ruck), Emily Bates (Brisbane), Brianna Davey (Collingwood), Jaimee Lambert (Collingwood), Nina Morrison (Geelong), Karen Paxman (Melbourne)

Zanker was sent back to the ruck after Lauren Pearce pulled up sore, and she delivered with 19 hitouts and two goals.

For the first time in the black and white stripes, Davey (30 disposals, 10 tackles) completely dominated a game, while Paxman (21) had another best-afield performance.

Lambert (24 and seven tackles) and Morrison (22 and seven) drove their team to victory with pure gut-running, and ball magnet Bates' strong season continued with 28 touches.

Forwards

Kaitlyn Ashmore (North Melbourne), Sabreena Duffy (Fremantle), Jasmine Garner (North Melbourne), Chloe Molloy (Collingwood), Cora Staunton (GWS)

There were goals galore in round five.

Ashmore, Duffy and Staunton all kicked bags of four, with accuracy costing Duffy (4.4) her chance at Brooke Lochland's record of seven.

Molloy (three goals) broke the game open for the Pies in the first quarter, and Garner's charge towards a potential AFLW best and fairest continued with 24 and two goals, rotating between the midfield and forward.

Interchange

Kiara Bowers (Fremantle), Kalinda Howarth (Gold Coast), Sinead Goldrick (Melbourne), Emma Kearney (North Melbourne), Alyce Parker (GWS)

Howarth set the ground alight, particularly in the opening half, while Goldrick's dash off half-back was important for Melbourne.

Parker (24 touches) was dominant over the side she grew up barracking for in Richmond, Kearney's (26) hard running was too much for Adelaide to handle, while Bowers (22 and 15 tackles) once again stopped everything in her path.
