FROM Horsham in Victoria's west to Yallourn in the east, the state's NAB AFLW Draft Combine invitees completed their own 2km time trials over the weekend.

With the Victorian portion of the Combine unable to be completed due to COVID-19 restrictions, 41 players took to ovals in various conditions around the state, logging their time through the Strava app.
Some were even forced to athletics tracks after an ill-timed long and heavy Melbourne downpour left some ovals with more mud than grass.
Sandringham Dragons' Eliza McNamara emerged as the "winner", running a time of 6:59.
If that time had been run under the usual Combine conditions, she would have comfortably beaten Geelong midfielder Nina Morrison's record of 7:14.

McNamara's teammate Winnie Laing also ran a highly impressive time of 7:27 to finish "second". Again, if run under Combine conditions, that time would have been the third-best since the Combine was first run in 2017.
All other states will complete their respective Combines as normal over the coming days.
