North Adelaide v Central Districts

Central Districts enjoyed a come-from-behind win over North Adelaide in round six of the SANFLW. Former Carlton player Jess Edwards had plenty of the footy with her 29 disposals while Hannah Ewings had 16 touches of her own but was well held by the Bulldogs.

Jasmine Evans and Julia Teakle each kicked three goals to help the Bulldogs to victory and Port Adelaide midfielder Maria Moloney played an integral role with her 23 disposals and seven clearances. 

Sturt v Woodville-West Torrens

Sturt was too good for Woodville-West Torrens, defeating the Eagles by 60 points. India Rasheed led the double blues with a goal from her 22 disposals. Georgia Swan was a force inside 50 for Sturt kicking three goals in the big win.

Essendon signing Leah Cutting battled hard for the Eagles collecting 17 disposals and leading her club's tackle count with eight.

Norwood v West Adelaide

Norwood led all day against West Adelaide and took home a six-point win in a tough contest. Morgan Johnston and Port Adelaide midfielder Sachi Syme helped Norwood to the win with their performances. 

For West Adelaide, former AFLW U19 All-Australian Zoe Venning had 32 disposals, eight marks and six inside 50s for the Bloods. Crows 2022 draftee Keeley Kustermann also impressed in the Bloods' loss with her 27 disposals, five marks and five tackles. 

South Adelaide v Glenelg

South Adelaide forward Lily Baxter was the hero for the Panthers, coolly slotting a set shot in the dying moments against Glenelg to get her side a one-point win. 

Adelaide signing Sarah Goodwin left the field with an ankle injury and didn't return for Glenelg in the tight game. Her Crows teammate Brooke Tonon however led for Glenelg with a game-high 30 disposals and seven marks. 

VICTORIA

Carlton v Geelong

Geelong held on to defeat an inaccurate Carlton outfit in a one-point thriller at Ikon Park. A goal in the last three minutes to Olivia Cicolini levelled the scores and it was a desperate shot by Charlotte Simpson that gave the Cats the lead. 

Simpson was important for the Cats, collecting 26 disposals, five marks and six tackles in her game-winning display. The game also marked the return of Geelong's Renee Garing after she gave birth to son Parker. She finished with 17 disposals and nine tackles. 

Ashlee Thorneycroft and Maddie Di Cosmo did their best to get the Blues over the line with their pressure. 

Box Hill Hawks v Western Bulldogs

Box Hill and the Western Bulldogs also played out a one-point thriller in round two with the Hawks running out winners at home. 

Hawks vice-captain Jordan Mifsud helped her team over the line with her 27 disposals and Sophie Locke and Sarah Perkins combined for three goals. 

Bulldogs recruits Dominique Carbone and Sarah Skinner, who were delisted by the Hawks and Swans respectively in the AFLW, almost got the Dogs over the line. Carbone had 20 disposals and 11 tackles while Skinner had a game-high 28 disposals, four marks and eight tackles. 

North Melbourne v Williamstown

North Melbourne continued its winning start to the season with an 11-point win over Williamstown. Marianna Anthony led the tackle count for the Kangaroos with 15 while Emily Paterno kicked two goals from 14 disposals. Taylah Gatt also featured in the win with 17 disposals.

Ruby Tripodi had a good game for the Seagulls finishing with 21 disposals, six marks and seven clearances. 

Port Melbourne v Collingwood

Port Melbourne was too good for Collingwood by 37 points at home. Collingwood recruit Jess Bates once again caught the eye of recruiters ahead of the AFLW Supplementary Draft with her 31 disposals, nine tackles and 11 clearances in the loss.

Stella Reid applied plenty of pressure in the tricky conditions finishing with 16 tackles while Richmond teammate Amelia Peck was a real presence around the ground and inside 50 kicking two goals.

Casey Demons v Darebin

Casey Demons had a commanding win over the Darebin Falcons kicking the highest score of the year so far in the 122-point win. 

There were plenty of AFLW Demons on the field for Casey with Eliza West and Megan Fitzsimon two of Casey's best. West had 31 disposals and Fitzsimon kicked four goals with Alyssa Bannan also kicking three of her own. 

Karly McNiece led for the Falcons finishing with 24 disposals and five marks in the tough loss at Casey Fields. 

Southern Saints v Essendon

The Southern Saints brought an Essendon undefeated streak that dates back to 2021 to an end with a 25-point win at Trevor Barker Oval. 

Gabriella De Angelis had a best-on-ground performance for the Saints finishing with a goal, 28 disposals, five marks and five tackles. Former Carlton and Bulldogs players Winnie Laing and Tessa Boyd also featured in the win. 

Alana Barba did her best to keep the Bombers' undefeated streak alive with her 24 disposals and eight tackles. 

WESTERN AUSTRALIA

South Fremantle v Swan Districts 

South Fremantle enjoyed a 53-point win over Swans Districts at home to start round four of the WAFLW.

Noa McNaughton was best on ground in the win for the Bulldogs kicking five goals from her 15 disposals. Fremantle small forward Makaela Tuhakaraina also kicked two goals in the win. 

Emma Nanut battled hard for Swan Districts finishing with 16 disposals in her side's loss.

Subiaco v Claremont 

Jasmin Stewart showed why she deserves to return to the AFLW with her performance in Claremont's win over Subiaco.

The former Docker had 28 touches, five inside 50s and kicked a goal in the win while fellow Tiger Eva O'Donnell kicked three goals from her 20 disposals.

West Perth v Peel Thunder

West Perth enjoyed a 37-point win over Peel Thunder at home to return to the winners list in the WAFLW.

Katherine Bennett found plenty of the football for West Perth in the win and Karry Plummer and Natasha Spurr both kicked two goals. 

Ebony Bilcich and Ebony Dowson were highlight for their efforts for Peel Thunder each finishing with 18 touches. 

East Perth v East Fremantle

East Fremantle held East Perth goalless in its 66-point win over the Royals. Delisted Eagle Ashleigh Gomes was in the Sharks' best for her 26 disposal, three marks and one-goal performance. AFLW Academy member Georgie Cleaver looked threatening for the Sharks collecting 16 disposals, five marks and five tackles.
