THE NAB AFLW season may have ended abruptly and without a premier as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, but the regular individual awards will go ahead.
The W Awards was initially slated in for April 21, but under existing government regulations cannot go ahead in its usual fashion.
The AFL will crown a best and fairest, a Virgin Australia AFLW All Australian side, a NAB AFLW Rising Star and announce the winners of the AFLW Coates Hire Goal of the Year and the AFLW Mark of the Year.
The circumstances under which the announcements will be made are yet to be confirmed.
"While the current situation is a challenge for the entire community, the AFL remains committed to celebrating the achievements of each club and individual following the 2020 NAB AFL Women's competition," an AFL spokesperson said.
"We are presently working through a range of options to facilitate this."
