THERE doesn't seem to be a football code around at which Townsville's Daisy D'Arcy doesn't excel.
The multi-talented athlete is a member of the NAB AFLW Academy, has represented Queensland at the national youth rugby sevens championships and played her fair share of soccer as a junior.

Rugby and soccer were her two loves growing up, with Aussie rules only coming onto the scene in the past three years.
While reluctant at first, D'Arcy has fallen in love with her third football code.
"My mum forced me to go a 'come and try' day. I was a bit iffy at the start, but as soon as we started going, I just loved it. I'm very thankful that my mother was forceful about it," D'Arcy said with a laugh.
Playing for local club Hermit Park, D'Arcy was quickly spotted and invited to Gold Coast's academy.
It's a two-hour flight from Townsville to Brisbane, and then a further hour's drive to the Gold Coast, a trip D'Arcy has made so many times she's lost count.

She played for Queensland in the NAB AFLW under-18 championships last year, and was named in the best in two of the three games played across the week on the Gold Coast.
D'Arcy is quick and agile breaking away from packs, but can also be a strong linking player with steady hands overhead.
"I like taking a mark and knowing it's a good one, and then having the opportunity to go forward," she said.

"I'm pretty lucky in that AFL and rugby are similar in some ways. I really enjoy them both, and I'm lucky enough to have the right people around me to help me be successful and try my hardest in both.
"I guess my mum would say there's a lot of whinging and moaning about being sore, but I think I deal with it in an okay manner and get help in preparing for the next game."
Unsurprisingly, D'Arcy nominated a fellow multi-sport athlete as her sporting hero.
"Ellyse Perry, she's been very successful in more than one sport, she's probably my number one.
"But I idolise every woman in sport. I guess you could say we're really making it up the ladder, [women's sport is] getting noticed and supported."

D'Arcy will be representing the Suns in Sunday's Queensland edition of the NAB AFLW All-Stars match and has also been invited to the NAB AFLW Draft Combine.
But before the looming NAB AFLW Draft on Tuesday, the sports-mad D'Arcy is just looking forward to one thing.
"It'll be good to get back into footy."
