The AFLW All-Australian panel has confirmed the squad of 42 players in contention for the All-Australian team, with Jasmine Garner and Ebony Marinoff in contention for a possible seventh All-Australian team.

McClelland Trophy winners Hawthorn led all clubs with six nominations, followed by the Adelaide Crows, reigning premiers the Brisbane Lions and minor premiers North Melbourne with five nominations each.

21 players will be vying for their maiden All-Australian blazer and 12 players will be looking to be awarded back-to-back All-Australian honours. 

Four players of Irish descent will be looking to be named in the All-Australian team: Aisling McCarthy, Aishling Moloney, Aileen Gilroy and Aine McDonagh.

2024 Telstra AFLW Rising Star nominees Shineah Goody and Matilda Scholz have been named in the squad, with the two 19-year-olds joining West Coast's Ella Roberts as the youngest players in contention for the side.

The final team of 21, which includes a captain and a vice-captain and selected as if playing in a match, will be announced on Monday, November 25 at the W Awards.

The All-Australian panel were asked to select 42 players in recognition of the leading players across all positions on the field.
