CARLTON'S path to the finals is simple this weekend.
If North Melbourne manages to knock off Fremantle on Saturday, Carlton won't be able to scrape into the top six.
THE RUN HOME Who will snatch the last finals spot?
But if the Roos lose, Carlton needs to defeat Greater Western Sydney on Sunday at Blacktown International Sportspark, and win big, in order to make up the 19.2 per cent deficit.
For comparison's sake, the Blues increased their percentage by 19.3 last week, but had to beat Gold Coast 87-27 in order to do so. While a North loss would reduce that 19.3 per cent gap somewhat, it will still have to be a thumping win from the Blues to leapfrog into finals.
In-form Carlton ruck Breann Moody said regardless of the result of the North Melbourne-Fremantle clash the day prior, the aim against GWS is simple.
"We've gone in with the intention of aiming to play our football and wanting to do our best," Moody told womens.afl.
"Obviously, things haven't panned out exactly how we wanted this season. But our focus doesn't change. We're still going to go out this weekend and give our best.
"And I think we showed on Friday night (against the Suns) what we've been working on and hopefully be able to recreate something similar."

The Blues overcame a slow start to waltz away 10 goals to the good, with star forward Darcy Vescio booting five herself.
"She was phenomenal, wasn't she?" Moody said.
"That's always exciting, watching her play, but also being able to kick the footy into her and watching her create some magic, it's pretty awesome."
The 24-year-old Moody is covering the ground with ease this season despite being one of the taller AFLW players at 180cm, averaging a career-high 12.5 disposals and 3.4 marks, as well as 18.4 hitouts a game (slightly below her 2018 record of 21.0).
"I definitely think the last few weeks are probably the best games I've played in terms of numbers and disposals and just how I feel coming off the ground," Moody said.
"I feel like I've been able to run out all four quarters, and credit to our strength and conditioning guys for all the work that they put in throughout COVID and through the start of this year to get me in the position that I'm in.
"I'm absolutely loving my footy. I'm feeling so happy on and off the field, in and out of the club. I'm able to go out there and play with a nice positive mindset and the freedom to make mistakes, but also know that I put in all the hard work to be able to run out all four quarters, and I have amazing teammates to help me go as well as I am at the moment."
