TWO PREVIOUS premiership wins have given versatile Adelaide star Stevie-Lee Thompson plenty of confidence heading into Saturday's decider.
The Crows took out the flag in 2017 – when Thompson was a fly-in, fly-out player based in Darwin – and again in 2019.
"I remember the last few seconds and trying to keep Brisbane out so they didn't score," Thompson told the Credit to the Girls podcast of the 2017 triumph.
DREAM STREAM How to watch the 2021 NAB AFLW Grand Final
"It was a whirlwind. I was flying in and out from Darwin, so getting back with the girls and the excitement of playing in the Grand Final, it was indescribable, especially in 2017 in my first full year of playing footy for the Crows. Experiencing that was ridiculously crazy.
"We had our usual 'flush run' last night, and everyone was really excited. A lot of the young girls who have come through the system, they're amped up, and we're jumping on board as well. To get another medal would be an achievement and a half, that's for sure.
"I just go and have fun. I want the young girls to have fun and enjoy the experience. I want them to feel what they've felt in previous years, but at the same time, bringing the family along with them, to have that eventful time to celebrate what we've achieved and how hard we've worked over the past six months to get to this position."
Oddly enough, the speedster played in defence in 2017, in attack in 2019 and is now back behind the footy this year.
"It was exciting for me and my family (to play forward), because some people see goals as just the best thing in the world. But it's actually the behind the scenes who get that ball into the forward line that counts," she said.
"I don't really care where I play, in the forward line, as a defender, in the midfield or on the wing.
"As long as I'm on the field with the girls and trying to help out wherever I can, that's probably the best outcome for me, positions are positions and I just want to get out there and play wherever 'Doc' (coach Matthew Clarke) tells me to go."
