WESTERN AUSTRALIA

Claremont and Subiaco played out a close game, with Subiaco coming out eventual winners by 11 points. East Fremantle made it two from two against South Fremantle in the sides' second Derby this season. Swan Districts and Peel Thunder played out a thriller on Sunday afternoon with Swan Districts keeping their unbeaten streak alive with a one-point win.

AFLW-Listed Players

Fremantle star Hayley Miller kicked all four of Subiaco's goals to get it the win over Claremont in a thrilling display.

Beatrice Devlin and Ange Stannett were on hand and played a role in the Lions' win at Claremont.

Jasmin Stewart and Matilda Sergeant were in the best for Claremont in a tough loss and were supported by Eagles Hayley Bullas and Kate Orme.

South Fremantle had Mim Strom come in to take on the ruck duties for the first time this season and she did well against the Sharks.

Roxy Roux kicked a goal for the Sharks in their Derby win and Philipa Seth and Gabby O'Sullivan were among the best.

Mikayla Bowen was one of Swan Districts' best in the close win against Peel Thunder as was Bianca Webb.

Steph Cain played her first game in the WAFLW since the 2019 Grand Final for Swan Districts and Kellie Gibson this week kicked a goal in the win.

Sabreena Duffy was in the Peel Thunder's best players for a second week in a row and was supported by Katie-Jayne Grieve and Sarah Verrier in the close loss.

State League Players

Ella Smith and Jessica Low did their best to keep Claremont in the game against Subiaco while Rachel Ortlepp and Amy Franklin kicked the Tigers' two goals.

Zoe Huggett continued her goalkicking form for the Bulldogs hitting the scoreboard, as did Holly Denholm.

For the Sharks, Kahra Sprylan got the votes for her performance, kicking a goal and performing well in the Derby.

Tara Stribley had two crucial goals for Swan Districts and Dana East and Melisha Hardy were crucial in helping the side over the line.

Kate Bartlett's goalkicking form continued with four this weekend against Swan Districts, meaning she is yet to play a game this season without multiple goals.

WA Under-19 representative Chloe Rowley also appeared in Peel Thunder's best in the loss to Swan Districts. 

SOUTH AUSTRALIA

Norwood secured the minor premiership, bouncing back from the second loss of the season to beat Central Districts in a close encounter at home. Glenelg held Woodville-West Torrens goalless in a 68-point win. South Adelaide was too good for Sturt coming away 47-point winners. West Adelaide is back in the top four after its 20-point win over North Adelaide. 

AFLW-Listed Players

Najwa Allen had 18 disposals and a goal for Norwood in a three-point win over Central Districts. Crows teammate Chloe Scheer was among the Bulldogs' best in the loss, also kicking a goal from her 13 disposals.

Ebony Marinoff returned to the SANFLW for Glenelg and starred with 30 disposals, 10 clearances and five tackles.

Caitlin Gould also featured in the ruck for Glenelg and had a goal from 13 disposals and five marks.

Renee Forth battled for the Eagles in a tough loss gathering 16 disposals.

Gold Coast's Cheyenne Hammond has returned to her home state and played her best game of the SANFLW season so far collecting 16 disposals and five marks for South Adelaide. Teah Charlton had another influential game for South Adelaide with her 15 disposals and six marks.

Ashleigh Woodland had an almost day inside 50 for North Adelaide kicking three behinds but was still good with her 13 disposals. 

West Coast's Katelyn Pope continues to find form back home this week kicking a goal from her 16 disposals for the Roosters. 

Chelsea Biddell and Ailish Considine each had a goal in West Adelaide's win over North Adelaide and Sarah Dargan continues to show her wares in South Australia this week collecting 15 disposals and laying 11 tackles.

State League Players

Leah Cutting was again dominant in the ruck and around the ground for Norwood winning 38 hitouts, 17 disposals, six marks and 10 tackles. 

Elizabeth Drake and Rosetta Zerella each had two goals for the Redlegs and Alana Lishmund was one the best mids with her 13 disposals and seven tackles.

Central Districts' Shelby Smith had another good game and Alicia Butler and Lauren Breguet were rewarded for their efforts with a goal.

Meara Girvan and Jessica Bates were influential through the Glenelg midfield with Girvan also kicking two goals. Madisyn Freeman led the goalkickers with three against the Eagles.

Annastasia Falkenberg was again the Eagles' best with her 18 disposals and 10 tackles, working tirelessly in a tough loss. 

Former Crow Nicole Campbell had a good game for South Adelaide in its big win over Sturt with her two goals, seven tackles and 14 disposals. Recently delisted Sun Jordann Hickey kicked three goals in the win as well.

Jess Good was Sturt's best with her 18 disposals and five clearances while Alex Ballard and Chloe Forby were the side's sole goalkickers. 

Lauren Young continues to show why she is one of the most exciting young talents in the country with her two goals, seven marks and 20 disposals in West Adelaide's win.

For the Roosters Lauren Gauci and Amber Ward were in the best with their 15 and 14 disposals, respectively.

QUEENSLAND 

Yeronga South Brisbane kicked 17 goals on its way to a 81-point win over Coolangatta Tweed. University of Queensland held onto second spot on the ladder with a 43-point win over Maroochydore. Bond University's unbeaten streak was almost bought to an end by Aspley but they were able to hold on against the Hornets. Wilston Grange remains on the bottom of the QAFLW leader after a 63-point defeat at the hands of Coorparoo.

AFLW-Listed Players

A number of premiership Lions returned to the QAFLW this weekend and Emily Bates and Courtney Hodder starred for Yeronga South Brisbane in its big win.

Both had two goals and appeared in the votes for the Devils.

Dee Heslop from the Suns also kicked a goal for Yeronga and Gabby Collingwood played her second game in her return from an ACL suffered in 2020.

Britt Perry hit the scoreboard for Coolangatta Tweed and picked up some votes in a tough loss at home.

Lions powerhouse forward Dakota Davidson and Greta Bodey were back for University of Queensland and were among the goalkickers and the best players. 

Nat Grider also had a goal to her name and Bre Koenen was named best on ground in her return for University.

Orla O'Dwyer also remains in Queensland and is playing alongside her Lions teammates at University of Queensland.

Wallis Randall from the Suns fought hard for Bond University in its close win over Aspley. 

Brisbane best and fairest winner Ally Anderson returned for Coorparoo and was in her side's best for her efforts in the win.

Tahlia Hickie and Rheanne Lugg also appeared for Coorparoo and Wilston Grange respectively and were both instrumental for their sides.

State League Players 

Yeronga South Brisbane had six multiple goalkickers in the game against Coolangatta, among them Christine Okesene who also got in the votes for her performance.

Madison Goodwin and Emmii-Lee Zanker-Close also featured for Yeronga, this being the third game in a row Zanker-Close has been in Yeronga's best.

Former Sun Kitara Farrar kicked two goals for Coolangatta and Uma Brennan and Sophie Ure were noted for their contribution.

Rachel Vetter and Jane Childes were influential for University of Queensland in its win over Maroochydore.

Brooke Matheson had two goals for the Roos with Taya Bowman the other goalkicker and one of Maroochydore's best against a tough University opponent.

Aspley's almost unlikely upset against Bond University came off the back of great performances by Ella Smith and Lucy Thompson. Sarah Madden kept the Hornets in the game with her two goals.

Bond University's Eloise O'Brien was judged to have been the difference for Bond with her two goals and best on ground votes.

Abby Hewett had one of Wilston Grange's two goals against Coorparoo and was in her side's best, supported by Mackenzie Findlay and Jessica Mcmullin Matthews.

Coorparoo's Chelsea Chesterfield was lively inside forward 50 with her three goals, closely followed by teammates Jessica McLean and Emma McKenzie who each had two.

Jenae Govan was also instrumental for Coorparoo and was named in the best for her efforts in the big win.

VICTORIA

Hawthorn returned to the winners list with a 62-point win over Darebin. Bulldogs inaccuracy in front of goal gave Carlton a chance but the Dogs were able to finish strong and come out 14-point winners. Geelong moved to second on the VFLW ladder with its 23-point win over Essendon. The Southern Saints became just the second side this season to defeat Port Melbourne. Collingwood remains the only undefeated team after a 62-point win over North Melbourne. Casey Demons held Williamstown goalless on its way to a 59-point win over Williamstown.

AFLW-Listed Players

Gold Coast's Alison Drennan continues to have an instant impact at the Hawks, collecting 24 disposals and nine tackles. Kristy Stratton and Tamara Luke each had 24 disposals as well with Stratton also kicking two goals. 

Phoebe McWilliams returned to the Hawks and kicked a goal from 12 disposals. 

Greater Western Sydney's Annalyse Lister had 19 tackles for the Falcons and Jess Dal Pos' influence was curbed with the experienced Giant only having seven disposals against the Hawks.

Young gun Jess Fitzgerald returned for the Bulldogs with 21 disposals alongside Gemma Lagioia. 

Eleanor Brown was electrifying off half-back, putting her body on the line to intercept finishing with eight marks and 20 disposals. 

The win over Carlton was soured however by injuries to Celine Moody and Lion Beth Pinchin late in the game.

Maddy Guerin had 32 touches for the Blues with Grace Egan and Abbie McKay not far behind with their 29 and 27. 

Natalie Plane returned as well for the Blues and had moments with her 13 disposals. 

Geelong's young players continue to get the job done, this week Sophie van de Heuvel starred with two goals and Rebecca Webster led in the midfield with her 23 touches. 

Experienced Cats Richelle Cranston and Renee Garing also played a role in the win over the Bombers.

Richmond defender Hannah McLaren was clean in defence for Port Melbourne finishing with 21 disposals. Maddy Brancatisano led the midfield with her 17 disposals and Giant Katherine Smith played her role.

The Saints' Alice Burke again led the disposals for her side with 20 touches and also applying plenty of pressure with 13 tackles. 

Hannah Priest continued her fine form and Tahlia Meyer had one of her best games with a goal from 18 touches. 

Mikala Cann played her first game of the season and had 28 disposals to go with seven tackles in the Pies' win over North Melbourne.

Sophie Alexander's goalkicking form continued with two against the Roos but also providing a target inside 50, finishing with nine marks.

Maddi Gay's three goals helped Casey on the way to a big win over Williamstown as did Eden Zanker's work in the midfield. She finished with 25 touches and 10 tackles in the win.

Libby Birch's work in defence kept Williamstown goalless and Jacqueline Parry and Casey Sheriff were also in the Demons' best for their efforts in the forward half of the ground. 

The partnership between Williamstown and the Giants saw Lisa Steane, Georgia Garnett and Libby Graham all turn out for the Seagulls. All three appeared among the major ball winners for their efforts.

Bess Keaney also returned to the VFLW with Williamstown and had 17 disposals on a tough night.

State League Players

Recently delisted Roo Katelyn Cox has found a new home at Hawthorn and had 17 disposals in the Hawks' win. 

Under-19 Vic Country representative Grace McRae made an impact at the contest with her 21 disposals and 10 tackles against the Falcons. 

Falcon Kathleen Roe was her side's best with her 21 disposals and Hayley Munro kicked Darebin's only goal.

Eliza Vale was among the best for the Western Bulldogs with her 20 disposals and six marks. Eliza Morrison kicked the sealer for the Dogs and Amanda Tessari was good in the ruck.

Teresa Zampaglione's pace and work effort was on display for the Blues finishing with 15 disposals. Marnie Jarvis played a big role in defence for the Blues and Steph Lawrence had two goals. 

Geelong's Paige Sheppard and Tamara Smith continued to show their importance to the side with their 18 and 16 touches respectively, with Smith also laying 10 tackles. 

Georgia Nanscawen again led the Bombers' midfield with 22 disposals and seven tackles. She was well supported by teammates Eloise Ashley-Cooper and Alana Barber who also hit the scoreboard.

Vic Country's Jaide Anthony held her own in her first game with Port Melbourne, finishing with 10 disposals and four marks. 

Tara Bohana proved a handful for the Port Melbourne defence with her two goals and Lucy Burke had 15 disposals through the midfield.

With no AFLW players taking the field for North Melbourne, Megan Kiley, Molly Eastman and Airlie Runnalls stepped up in their absence doing their best to stop the rampant Pies. 

Georgia Ricardo and Jennifer Guy saw plenty of the footy through the midfield and also had two goals each, as did key forward Imogen Barnett.    

Meg MacDonald was in the best for the Demons with her 20 disposals and a goal against Williamstown. 

For the Seagulls, Aimee Whelan, Ella Baxter and Ruby Tripodi battled for their side in tough conditions.

NEW SOUTH WALES 

Pennant Hills Demons broke through for its first win of the season overcoming Macquarie University by 42 points. Inner West Magpies returned to the winners list with a 42-point victory over UTS Australian Football Club. Manly Warringah Wolves held off the fast-finishing North Shore Bombers to win by just two points. Southern Power moved into third on the ladder with a 17-point win over Sydney University. East Coast Eagles are the only undefeated team after a massive 131-point win over UNSW Easter Suburbs Bulldogs.

AFLW-Listed Players

GWS Giants' Rebecca Privitelli and Erin Todd each had two goals for the Inner West Magpies and were influential in getting the Magpies back on the winners list. 

Emily Pease also turned out for the Magpies and played a role in her side's win.

Emily Goodsir had a crucial goal and was among the Wolves' best in the tight contest against the Bombers. Erin McKinnon's work in the ruck was also crucial in keeping her side in front in the contest.

Returning for her first game of the season was Louise Stephenson who played in Sydney University's loss to Southern Power. Stephenson, who now juggles firefighting with football, was in her side's best for her efforts.

State League Players

Laura Donohoe and Eliza Harvey helped Pennant Hills on the way to its first win combining for seven goals and featuring in the team's best for their efforts.

Alexandra Wade and Hayley Lowe were also influential for the Demons.

For Macquarie University Elise Franco and Hannah Cerezo tried to turn it around after half-time for their side but couldn't get it done.

Eleri Morris's three goals had the Magpies on the way to their third win of the season, and she was well supported by teammates Madeline Convery and Lael Kassem in the win.

Former Giant Pippa Smyth was UTS's best player in the loss to the Magpies.  

Swans Academy player Jessica Doyle had four goals for the second week in a row for the Wolves and was in the best for her performance.

Alyce Keating's three goals almost had the Bombers come out winners against the Wolves, Frances Dalton also did all she could to get the Bombers in front in the close loss.

All five of Sydney University's goals were kicked by Amber Laven in their loss to Southern Power. Chaylee Reeve and Isabella Gray were also in University's best.

For the Power Caitlin Davidson's three goals put her side in a commanding position and Natalie Murray's two goals helped the Power over the line.

The East Coast Eagles were big winners on the weekend with 11 players kicking goals, five of which were multiple goals. Jordyn Jolliffe had the most with four and Bryany Parker's influence was felt for the Eagles in the big win.

Isabella Burstin had the Bulldogs' only goal of the day and Rebecca Mount battled for the Dogs in a tough match-up.

CANBERRA

Belconnen Magpies are the only team undefeated after two rounds, seeing off the Eastlake Demons by 56 points. Tuggeranong Valley had its first win of the season with an emphatic 63-point victory over the Gungahlin Jets. Four goals in the first quarter for the Ainslie Tricolours had them in the box seat over Queanbeyan but the Tigers ended up just falling short by one point.

AFLW-Listed Players

Britt Tully continued her good start to the season hitting the scoreboard with a crucial goal for the Tricolours in their close win over Queanbeyan.

Jess Allan was in the best for the Eastlake Demons for her efforts in their loss over the Belconnen Magpies.

State League Players

Hannah Wallett's four goals had the Magpies on the way to their first victory of the year and form Giant Maggie Gorham was among the side's best players for her efforts.

Demons Cambridge McCormick and Kate Wheaton were in their side's best for trying to keep Eastlake in the game.

Kali Abbott had a near best on ground performance with her four goals against the Jets. Lucy McKelvie Hill was also in the votes for Tuggeranong Valley for her influence on the contest.

Jaye Anderson had the Jets' only goal and Stevie Burton battled hard for the Jets in a tough loss. 

Three goals to Ainslie's Rachel Friend were crucial in the one-point win over Queanbeyan. Tess Cattle was also instrumental, as was Georgie Jaques.

Mindy Quade and Kate McGrath starred for Queanbeyan with their two goals apiece and work over the ground but just couldn't get their side over the line.
