RICHMOND winger Tessa Lavey has been named in the Australian Opals basketball squad for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
The Games will be the 28-year-old's second, having previously represented the country at the 2016 Rio edition.
Lavey was a wildcard draft selection for the Tigers who paid off in spades.

Having played very little junior footy, she built up her skills with assistant coach Nathan Chapman before being selected with pick No.43 in the 2020 NAB AFLW Draft.
Playing six consecutive games after her debut in round three, Lavey averaged 11.0 disposals and 1.3 marks for the season, impressing with her long boot and natural instincts.
She may not be the only AFLW player heading for Tokyo, with Carlton's Chloe Dalton working towards selection in the rugby sevens after having back surgery earlier this year.
