THE TRADE component of the AFLW Sign and Trade Period may be done, but there's still plenty on the cards for clubs.

Players can continue to be re-signed by their club until Wednesday, June 16.

The restricted free agency period also runs until that same date but is generally rarely used.

West Coast recruit Aimee Schmidt used restricted free agency to help facilitate a deal between her former club GWS and the Eagles.

Wanting to return home to Western Australia, GWS purposely offered a lower tier contract than the one Schmidt was on, allowing West Coast to either offer the same value or higher.

Schmidt could then cross to the Eagles without a trade needing to be facilitated, with restricted free agency initially brought in to protect a player's tier status if a club undervalues them in a subsequent contract.

Didn't get one of those last few contracts on offer?

If clubs have room, they can sign delisted free agents from other teams until Friday 25 June, as Collingwood did on Thursday, picking up Alison Downie from Carlton.

At that point, clubs can have no more than 27 on their list, allowing for three selections to be made at the NAB AFLW Draft on Tuesday 27 July.

Phoebe Monahan
It was quite a sudden exit for the Richmond defender, having finished second in the club's best and fairest in 2020. The addition of Harriet Cordner and Sarah D'Arcy to the backline had squeezed Monahan into the VFLW by the season's end, but she's a tenacious, experienced competitor with a big kick.

Richelle Cranston
Arguably one of the faces of the AFLW in the early days, "Rocky" is a powerful forward/midfielder who at her best, can turn a game quickly. She had a poor final season in a tough year with Geelong, but is in good recent form in the VFLW, also playing for the Cats.

Renee Forth
The experienced utility was open in her wish to further explore her options after being delisted by Adelaide. Forth struggled to crack the minor premier's side this year, but is a strong leader who can play across all three lines and starred in the SANFLW this year.

Ruby Svarc
The speedster didn't play a game for Brisbane in her one season on the Lions' list but did manage to take out the Colgate AFLW Grand Final Sprint this year. The younger sister of star tagger Cathy is back playing for Essendon in the VFLW, and generally plays off half-back or on the wing.

Leah Kaslar
She may be 35, but having captained both Brisbane and Gold Coast, Kaslar has experience and leadership in spades. Struggled as the main target up forward once Sarah Perkins was injured, but is a strong key back and is fiercely competitive.

Kate Gillespie-Jones
A tall utility, Gillespie-Jones was originally selected by Carlton with pick No.14 in the inaugural NAB AFLW Draft, and then moved to North Melbourne. Capable of playing at either end or pinch-hitting in the ruck, she's powerfully built and has strong hands overhead.

Alicia Janz
Rucks can be hard to come by, and Janz has experience at the top level in both footy and netball. Has battled injuries in recent years, but is a strong tap ruck and renowned for her leadership both on and off the field.
