GWS midfielder Emily Goodsir will sit out the upcoming NAB AFLW season due to pregnancy.
The 29-year-old cemented herself in the Giants' best 21 earlier this year, playing all nine games and impressing with her speed and tackle pressure.
She made the happy announcement with partner Tom Gorman on her Instagram account.
Goodsir will move to the inactive list, and the Giants are planning to replace her in the coming weeks.
She isn't the only Giant expecting, with Irish forward Yvonne Bonner also sitting out the season due to pregnancy.
The AFLW pre-season is expected to begin on September 1.
