GOLD Coast's coveted No.1 draft pick Charlie Rowbottom is yet to train with her new club.
The 18-year-old, along with fellow recruit Vivien Saad, are still in Melbourne awaiting approval from the Queensland government to enter their new state under its COVID-19 protocols.
The Suns began pre-season training in early October, with the Victorian duo restricted to remote duties.
Gold Coast coach Cameron Joyce told womens.afl there was no specific timeline on the arrival of Rowbottom or Saad.
"Hopefully they'll be here in coming weeks," he said.
"We've been doing everything we can with them remotely.
"There's a lot of people that want to enter Queensland at the minute, so we just have to wait our turn.
"There's a few other avenues. We're looking at all the different options for them to come in … we'll keep working on that."
Rowbottom sensationally nominated for the Queensland draft pool ahead of the 2021 NAB AFLW Draft, choosing to head north rather than stay in her home state.
The dynamic midfielder, who is the younger sister of Sydney men's player James, was snapped up by the Suns with the first overall pick.

"She was really keen to come and play with us, and we were really keen to have her," Joyce said.
"We've been trying to do everything in our power to provide the training and support she needs.
"She's certainly had some challenges, but we're confident we'll get her up here sooner rather than later. She's an important part of what we're trying to do."
