WHAT does it take to play the third-most V/AFL games in history?
Former Hawthorn nutritionist Simone Austin joined The Inside Game podcast to talk about fuelling the Hawks' dynasty, and gave some insight into how 407-gamer Shaun Burgoyne was the ultimate professional when it came to nutrition.
"He wasn't a fancy eater but certainly did the right thing and asked lots of questions so he was doing the right thing for his body," Austin told host Bec Goddard.
"There was nothing too fancy for him, he was happy with barbecue and vegetables.

"He'd come in during the off-season to get his skinfolds checked, and check in with me.
"He didn’t have to do that, and he would come and see me regularly just to make sure he was still on track in the off-season."
Austin also shared her experiences of the Hawks' historic three-peat, and how she helped players overcome game-day gut issues.
