Who is your all-time favourite footballer or athlete?
Johnathan Thurston, he played for the Cowboys (in the NRL). For me, he was such a great role model for sportsmanship. He would respect his teammates, his opposition and also the support staff and umpires. After he'd kick a goal, he'd actually pick up the tee and hand it to the kid or whoever was helping out. It's more common now (because of him).
Who is the worst teammate on social media?
I can't pick a person. We're lucky in that we have a fines system, so it really controls what we post on social media. I think we pride ourselves on being pretty well behaved, so I can't pick anyone out.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I was one of those kids who would change their mind every week, but I always wanted to be a professional athlete. I didn't know what sport, I was a kid who played quite a few, but I just wanted to be the best of the best. After watching all the women on TV, it was definitely something I wanted to do. I watched a lot of rugby union when I lived in New Zealand. When I moved to Australia (about 10 years ago) and later saw the introduction of AFLW, that was definitely the career I wanted to take.
Who is your toughest opponent?
Kiara Bowers. She's one of the best in the League at the moment and the one time I had to tag her was one of the toughest things I had to do in a football game. She's so tough, she's such a great sportswoman. Anyone who's played against her would know that.
Which Olympic sport would you love to compete in?
Rugby sevens. Other than that, maybe the 100m sprint, a nice quick race and it definitely looks like a good one to compete in. And it would mean I was super speedy.
Which teammate is most likely to go on and coach?
At the moment, we have two girls in our team coaching the younger academy team, Bess Keaney and Jamie Stanton. I feel like even within our group, they're already coach figures and give out advice and feedback.
Do you have any pre-game rituals or superstitions?
Not too crazy with that. I do like my hair in a nice little bun, I get pretty insecure about that on game day. It's probably too many, I usually use four hair ties plus a scrunchie which matches whatever uniform we're wearing, red or blue. Also making sure my socks are level and my boots are perfectly tightened.
What was the first concert you attended?
I haven't been to any big major ones, but when I was little I went to a Hi-5 concert, that's the best I can give you there.
What is the non-football accomplishment of which you're most proud?
I would say getting my driver's licence. People who know me would know how hard that was for me to get. We didn't have a car for about eight years, so when we finally got one at the end of last year, it took me a while to get my hours up. Then I failed my first test, but finally got it.
Would you prefer to take Mark or Goal of the Year?
I think Goal of the Year. A celebration usually comes with a goal, and I think that's my favourite part.
