TWO MIDFIELDERS playing in the same match – Carlton's Georgia Gee and Brisbane's Jacqui Yorston – are the round six NAB AFL Women’s Rising Star nominees.
Gee is in her second year of AFLW, having been selected by the Blues with pick 12 in the 2017 NAB AFLW Draft from Beaconsfield JFC and the Dandenong Stingrays.
The lightly framed 19-year-old has grown in confidence as the season has progressed since breaking into the side in round two, averaging 11 disposals (up from six in 2018).

Against the Lions, Gee was composed rotating through the midfield and spending time in the forward line, finishing with 12 disposals (including eight kicks) at 75 per cent efficiency, two marks and a clearance.
The Blue is her club's second Rising Star nominee this year – Maddy Prespakis was nominated in round two.
Playing similar positions to Gee, Yorston had 12 disposals (including seven kicks), three clearances and eight tackles.
Selected as a rookie at the end of the 2018 draft, Yorston was signed from QWAFL side Wilston Grange. She won a premiership with that club as a 17-year-old.

Now 18, she has averaged 10 touches and 7.7 tackles a match since making her debut in round four.
Yorston represented Queensland at last year's NAB AFLW Under-18 Championships, impressing as a forward.
Players are eligible for this year's award if they were 21 or under as of January 1, 2019, and had not been previously nominated.
