A MEMBER of Carlton's AFLW program has tested positive to COVID-19.

Only one other member of the program has been deemed a close contact, meaning the rest of the team and staff are training as normal.

The positive case is fully vaccinated, and was identified via a rapid antigen test before training on Tuesday afternoon, outside the club.

A follow-up PCR test on Wednesday confirmed the positive result, and the person will now have to isolate for 14 days.

As the close contact is fully jabbed, they are only facing a seven-day isolation period, as long as they product negative tests.

As previously revealed on womens.afl, the majority of the Western Bulldogs' AFLW program is set to be released from quarantine on Friday after a positive case, with a small group of single-jabbed players and/or staff needing to isolate for 14 days.

Richmond is back in full training after its own positive case three weeks ago.
