WESTERN AUSTRALIA 

East Fremantle started its season off in style with a seven-point win over Swan Districts. Peel Thunder and Claremont made it two wins in a row to start the season with wins over South Fremantle and Subiaco respectively.

AFLW-Listed Players

Ashley Sharp returned for her second game after having a baby in November and kicked a goal from nine disposals for Swan Districts and Freo teammate Bianca Webb was also in the best for her 15 disposals and seven tackles.

Tayla Bresland kicked a crucial goal for the Sharks in the win over Swan Districts to go with nine disposals.

State League Players 

Ashleigh Gomes was integral for East Freo in its win, leading the disposals with 16 and Julia Teakle was also in the best for her three-goal performance.

Swan Districts’ Hope Ugle-Hayward almost got her side over the line, finishing with a game high 19 disposals, six marks, four tackles and a goal.

Kate Bartlett's fine goalkicking form continues into 2022 after a best-on-ground five-goal, 17-disposal and seven-tackle performance for Peel Thunder.

Jade Britton provided plenty of the football for her forwards with eight inside 50s from 20 disposals in a strong performance with Jade Briggs also highlighted for her 18 disposals for Peel. 

Madeleine Scanlon was crucial for Claremont in its win, leading with an equal high 17 disposals, four marks and five inside 50s while Jayme Harken was the best for Subiaco in the loss.

SOUTH AUSTRALIA 

Glenelg came back from trailing at half-time to defeat Woodville-West Torrens Eagles by 10 points. Sturt remained undefeated after four rounds with a 52-point win over West Adelaide. North Adelaide moved back into the top four with a 46-point win over Central Districts. Norwood made it three wins in a row with its 17-point win over South Adelaide. 

AFLW-Listed Players 

New Crows signing McKenzie Dowrick is yet to play her first game in Adelaide colours but put her hand up for selection after kicking three goals from 11 disposals in the Eagles' loss to Glenelg.

Jasmyn Hewett was the highest rated player on the ground in Sturt’s win for her 20 disposals, one goal, five marks, 24 hitouts, eight tackles and five inside 50s. 

Nikki Gore appeared for South Adelaide in the loss against Norwood and laid a massive 21 tackles to go with 19 disposals and six marks.

State League Players

Glenelg’s Tessa Kohn was crucial in the Tigers' tight match with the Eagles collecting 22 disposals, laying 11 tackles and kicking a crucial goal. Caitlyn Swanson was lively inside forward 50 with four goals and Jessica Bates was the leading disposal getter on the ground with 26 and also had six clearances.

Former Crow Renee Forth put in an eye catching performance for Woodville-West Torrens collecting 18 disposals, eight marks, five tackles and six rebound 50s. She was well supported by teammate Shineah Goody who led the Eagles with 23 touches in the loss.

Georgia Bevan helped keep Sturt’s unbeaten start the season going with three goals and 17 disposals while Louella McCarthy was one of the best for West Adelaide kicking one of her side's two goals and gathering 19 disposals and seven tackles.

North Adelaide had plenty of contributors in its big win over Central Districts with Katelyn Pope, Jami Tabb and Doreena Hansen all kicking two goals while Hannah Ewings led the disposals with 18.

Isabelle Starmer did a great job in the ruck for Central Districts winning 24 hitouts, four clearances, four marks and collecting an equal game-high 16 disposals.

Norwood’s Lana Schwerdt led the disposals with 25 with teammates Alison Ferrall and Jade Halfpenny also finding plenty of the footy with 22 and 20 touches respectively.

VICTORIA

Hawthorn returned to the winners list with a 66-point win over the Darebin Falcons. Geelong kept Port Melbourne goalless on its way to a 51-point victory at home. Casey Demons got the job done over North Melbourne with a 20-point win. Southern Saints got its second win of the season with a 38-point win over the Bulldogs. Collingwood made it two in a row with a 20-point win over Williamstown. Essendon’s unbeaten streak continued when they defeated Carlton by 52-points. 

AFLW-Listed Players  

Claudia Gunjaca and Danielle Higgins both kicked goals in the Cats' big win, while Rene Caris did well in the ruck with 11 hitouts and 12 disposals.

Both Brenna Tarrant and Megan Fitzsimon kicked goals for Casey with Tarrant also leading the disposal getters with her 18 touches.

Daisy Bateman stood tall in North’s loss to Casey with 20 disposals, four marks and four tackles. Alexia Hamilton and Perri King also played their role with Hamilton kicking a goal to go with some crucial work in the ruck.

Isabelle Shannon and Leah Cutting put their hands up for a recall in the Saints side with standout performances. Shannon finished with two goals and 28 disposals while Cutting dominated in the ruck with 24 hitouts, 25 disposals and five tackles. Tahlia Meyer also had a strong game with a goal from 18 touches.

Dogs duo Bailey Hunt and Amanda Ling worked hard through the middle finishing with 15 and 18 disposals respectively.

Imogen Barnett kicked three goals in the Pies' win over Williamstown and Ebony O’Dea had a solid performance collecting 17 disposals and eight clearances.

Lauren Brazzale and Brooke Walker pushed for a spot back in the Blues' lineup and Imogen Milford is in line for a debut after a three-goal performance against the Bombers.

State League Players

Jessie Williams added four goals to her tally for the season to go with 18 disposals and four marks in Hawthorn’s win over Darebin. Lauren Szigeti and Aimee Whelan were also instrumental with 49 disposals and 13 clearances between them. 

Former Dogs Angelica Gogos and Nicole Callinan fought hard for the Falcons in the loss with Gogos laying 12 tackles and Callinan leading the disposals for her side with 18.

Geelong cross coder Melissa Bragg had a standout performance in the Cats' win, kicking four goals to go with 12 disposals. Paige Sheppard and Tamara Smith worked hard in the midfield gathering 26 and 25 disposals respectively and laying a combine 21 tackles.

Melanie Hogg was a key component of Casey’s win with her 16 touches, six tackles and three clearances while Sarah Skinner was one of North’s best with her 14 disposals and 10 tackles.

Southern Saints' Gabriella De Angelis was lively in the forward line kicking a goal to go with 17 disposals.

For the Dogs Mary Sandral kicked all three of her sides goals with Lucy Schneider leading the disposals with 26 closely followed by Jaimee-Lee Morrow in the ruck who finished with 22 and five clearances.

Collingwood captain Caitlin Bunker led the way for her side with 23 disposals, 10 clearances and nine tackles.

Sharnie Whiting and Erine Meade were the best for the Seagulls in the loss to the Pies with Whiting leading her side in disposals with 18.

Federica Frew kicked a bag of six goals to help Essendon on its way to another big win while Renee Tierney also chipped in with three of her own. Georgia Nanscawen and Amelia Radford led the Bombers midfield with Radford leading the disposals with 25 and Nanscawen the tackles with nine.
