Adelaide believe captain Chelsea Randall has avoided serious injury after a scare during her AFLW side's 13-point victory against North Melbourne.

Randall was put on ice after landing awkwardly following a marking contest in the last quarter of Adelaide's 5.7 (37) to 3.6 (24) win at Norwood Oval on Sunday.

Her right knee was iced and strapped but the Crows are hopeful scans will only show a low-grade hamstring injury.

The Crows' dual premiership skipper missed the entire 2020 season after having a right knee reconstruction.

"I just felt a little sudden tightness ... so we will just have a little look at it this week and go from there," Randall told Fox Footy after the game.

Randall's scare took some gloss off another Adelaide win highlighted by a four-goal haul to attacking ace Ashleigh Woodland.

A week after kicking four majors in the season-opener, Woodland repeated the feat against the plucky Kangaroos.
