SPEEDY forward Georgia Gee is coming into the fifth Pride Game battle between Carlton and the Western Bulldogs - and for her, it's a game of great significance.

While the full AFLW Pride Round is in its second year, the Blues and the Bulldogs pioneered the concept in 2018.

"For me, it's pretty important. Being in a same-sex relationship, you feel comfortable, no one's judging, and just to be able to run out and have a voice for others that feel like they can't voice their opinion or how they feel, it's really important to be a part of that," Gee told Credit to the Girls podcast.

"I'm super lucky I'm one of those who get to pull on a jumper and raise awareness for it. I love it, and it's definitely one of my favourite rounds each year.

"My family have definitely asked me about it. My older cousin is gay as well, so I feel super comfortable within my family. Them asking questions about it shows they're actually learning and taking it on board, which is really good."
