FREMANTLE is poised to regain key defender Janelle Cuthbertson for its qualifying final against North Melbourne.

Cuthbertson, an All-Australian last year, suffered a cheekbone injury at training, missing eight matches over about six weeks and will need to get through training unscathed this week in order to be selected.

Speedster Makaela Tuhakaraina is out of action due to health and safety protocols, Philipa Seth (syndesmosis) and Matilda Sergeant (concussion) do not have timelines on their return, while Mikayla Morrison is out for the year with a torn ACL.

Opponent North Melbourne has a clean bill of health, aside from inactive player Elisha King (ACL).

The qualifying final between Collingwood and Brisbane has been postponed after a COVID-19 outbreak at the Magpies.

The Pies are missing Bri Davey and Brit Bonnici (ACLs), with Olivia Meagher (concussion) also dealing with her own injury concerns.

The Lions are in good shape, with just two long-term injuries on their list: Gabby Collingwood (ACL/MCL) and Kate Lutkins (ACL).

Inactive player Lily Postlethwaite returned from her own knee reconstruction in the QAFLW last weekend, running out for home club Maroochydore.

Adelaide has just two players on its injury list – Hannah Munyard (ankle) and Justine Mules (elbow) – and both are tests for the side's preliminary final.

Fellow preliminary finalist Melbourne is also fairly light on for injuries. Maeve Chaplin is dealing with a concussion issue, while inactive player Isabelle Simmons has started running in her return from a stress fracture in her foot.
