Welcome Back
It has been a long, hot summer, but at last football is back. During the off season, the Cheer Squad committee has been actively preparing for 2006, and along with the staff at MELBOURNEfc, it is with great pleasure that we welcome Redheads as the Cheer Squad Official Partner in 2006.

Redheads will supply the Cheer Squad with various paraphernalia, which includes T-Shirts, flags, caps and various other items.

Each Cheer Squad member can collect their Redheads merchandise from April 2nd at the Round One fixture.

Your questions answered
In Season 2006, the MELBOURNEfc Cheer Squad committee will be appearing in Redheads club jackets to answer any of your questions you may have.

During the Home and Away season, look out for us, and we will be more than happy to help you out.

The Cheer Squad committee should be the first people you approach should you have any concerns. We are then able to liaise with our representatives at the club to achieve the desired outcome of any problems.

Fundraising
As in Season 2005, the MELBOURNEfc Cheer Squad will be running the Win/Loss competition, Favourite Player competition and the very popular First Goal Kicker competition.

The Win/Loss will remain at $1 per ticket, where under a lucky dip system, you are allocated a number, should MELBOURNEfc win or lose by that margin, you collect the cash prize!

The Favourite Player competition is a favourite amongst the female members of the Cheer Squad with the player with the most votes at the end of the season receiving a trophy at the Best and Fairest evening.

In Season 2005, the most popular fundraiser was the first Goal Kicker competition. At a cost of $2 per player, under a lucky dip system you select a player from the selected MELBOURNEfc side to kick the first goal. Should they, you win the cash prize.

For all of our fundraising programs that operate on match day - don’t forget to see our fundraising volunteers’ pre match.

Cheer Squad football tipping
In Season 2006, the Melbourne Cheer Squad has teamed up with Network Ten, Primus Telecom and Weg’s World to bring you an online football tipping contest.

A Motorola V3 flip phone valued at $1000 each will be given away each week. An awesome phone to the most awesome weekly tipper.

The best end-of-season tipper will win a home theatre package including big screen TV, DVD player and surround sound system valued at $25,000.

If you are the best tipper in the Melbourne Cheer Squad, Weg’s World has donated a complete set (12) of Melbourne WEG Posters, from Melbourne's Premiership Years.

Best of all, it is free, and you can either complete your tips online or via SMS.
