GEELONG trio Steve Johnson, James Kelly and Mathew Stokes lead a host of players running out in their club colours for the final time this weekend.
The future of the pair is a little cloudy, but Cats fans will get one last farewell, as will followers of retiring Andrew Carrazzo and Daniel Cross.
Others may also be playing their last game for their respective clubs before being shipped off via the trade table.
And then there are those who won’t have the honour of a farewell game because of injury or retirement earlier in the year.
Here AFL.com.au takes a look at the players we’ll wish a fond farewell to across round 23.
Geelong v Adelaide
It will be an emotional night at Simonds Stadium as Cats fans say goodbye to premiership heroes James Kelly, Mathew Stokes and Steve Johnson, who will all run out to face Adelaide on Saturday. Between them they've played over 700 games and won eight premierships. With the future of another premiership hero Corey Enright also in the balance, it could be a massive farewell. Jared Rivers and Hamish McIntosh have already retired this year. Don't be too sad, though, Cats fans – keep an eye on No.32 for Adelaide. There's a loud whisper he might fill the void of your departed stars next season.
Brisbane Lions v Western Bulldogs
What list decisions Justin Leppitsch makes after a horrid 2015 will determine how many Brisbane Lions are playing their last career games or the last game in the maroon, blue and gold. We already know Jed Adcock won't be there next season, while retiring Brent Staker has been brought back for a farewell game after six seasons with the club. The futures of in-contract duo Stefan Martin and Sam Mayes remain clouded, while Luke McGuane and Matt Maguire have both retired and Jack Redden has asked to be traded. James Aish and Matthew Leuenberger are also likely to be traded, and like Redden and the two retirees, will be watching from the grandstands with injury.
Port Adelaide v Fremantle
After club legend Kane Cornes called it quits earlier this year, Port fans might be taking a last look at key forward Jay Schulz. The Power are believed to be heavily chasing Gold Coast's Charlie Dixon, which could put the squeeze on Schulz's spot. If it turns out being his last hurrah for the club, the Port faithful have plenty to be thankful for, given Shulz's 115 games and 261 goals since crossing over from Richmond.
Hawthorn v Carlton
Blues stalwart Andrew Carrazzo will finish his distinguished career against the Hawks, running out for the 194th time on Saturday. Carrazzo won a John Nicholls Medal in 2007 and has seen the high and lows in his 12-year career. David Ellard will also call it a day after the Hawks clash, retiring after 63 games across eight years at the club. Interim coach John Barker will also lead his men one last time after taking over from Mick Malthouse mid-season before handing the reins to Brendon Bolton for 2016. Rugged midfielder Tom Bell is still in contract, but been linked to the Brisbane Lions and a return to his home state. Superstar Chris Judd finished up earlier this year, while Lachie Henderson has already played his final game in the navy blue after telling the club he wanted to leave.

Sydney Swans v Gold Coast
With Swans fans guaranteed at least one finals game on their home deck regardless of Saturday night's result, there'll be another chance to farewell retiring great Rhyce Shaw. That leaves Gold Coast's Greg Broughton as the only player winding up after this match, and while he might not have many local supporters following him down, his 110-game career is sure to be acknowledged by the SCG crowd. There's also a chance big forward Charlie Dixon will be wearing Gold Coast colours for the final time, with the out-of-contract Queenslander still to negotiate a new deal.
West Coast v St Kilda
Not much to see in this game with the Eagles assured at least one more home game during the finals and Beau Waters retiring earlier this season. The Saints said goodbye to Adam Schneider against his former club the Swans last week.
Melbourne v Greater Western Sydney
Another quiet game on the retirement front, although Demon Daniel Cross has called a halt to his stellar 14-year career. After 12 years with the Bulldogs, Cross switched to the Demons where his two seasons have yielded 38 games (not including Sunday's). The Giants have nothing on that front, but it could be the final time Adam Treloar wears their colours, with the out-of-contract midfielder tipped to have a more permanent home in the Victorian capital next season.
Collingwood v Essendon
He might not be on the field, but 400-game Bomber Dustin Fletcher will surely be given a rousing send-off at the MCG. Paul Chapman played his final game last week, while interim coach Matthew Egan will also marshall the troops for the final time after taking over from James Hird a fortnight ago. After six years with the Bombers, versatile Jake Carlisle could also be playing his final game in the red and black, tipped to leave during trade period.
