Each year, the AFL trade week generates a great deal of interest, speculation and discussion surrounding players who could potentially be switching teams.

The 2011 exchange period officially commences on Monday 10 October, with all clubs given seven days to complete deals before the 2pm deadline on Monday 17 October.

The Lions are likely to be active during trade week after Mitch Clark declared his desire to head back to his home State of Western Australia.

Since the 1997 merger, the Club has participated every year in trade week with the exception of 2005.

Last year, the Lions struck a deal with the Gold Coast that saw Jared Brennan move to the SUNS in exchange for West Australian runner Rohan Bewick and a collection of draft picks, while Justin Sherman was also traded to the Western Bulldogs for a compensation draft selection.

The Club will be sure to keep all its members and supporters updated on deals as they happen via the Lions website and social media sites.

In the meantime, please find below a complete list of the Lions’ trade activity since 1997.
