THE AFL has made a $50,000 donation to Spinal Cure Australia.
AFL chief executive officer Gillon McLachlan presented the cheque to Spinal Cure Australia director Gary Allsop at Marvel Stadium.
Spinal Cure Australia CEO Duncan Wallace said the money would go towards funding vital medical research to help find a cure for paralysis.
"This $50,000 donation from the AFL means a great deal for Spinal Cure Australia and we’re incredibly grateful for the support,” Mr Wallace said.
"We currently help fund a number of exciting research programs aimed at improving outcomes – from managing injuries as they happen to improve recovery to treating chronic, long-term injuries and loss of function."
