Carlton has included Adam Bentick, Eddie Betts and Paul Bower into the squad of 25 ahead of the important clash this Sunday at the Dome.
The starting 22 will be finalised after a brief training session on Friday at Princes Park.
Betts and Bower return from injury to the squad which beat Port Adelaide by 66 points last week to remain in the finals race.
Sundays match against North Melbourne is a must win game for the Blues who are still a chance to make the finals but must win two of the remaining three games to remain a chance.
However, Brett Ratten isn't getting sidetracked by the finals talk, instead focusing on the future success of the side. "Anything you do in year one - we always thought this was a foundation year for us - not just on-field but off-field and everything we have set up this year is a foundation so that hopefully we can have sustained success." Ratten explained
"So while there is still that flicker of hope there, we have found we need to keep working on all aspects of our game and just to watch some individuals take their games to new level really helps us collectively and that is what we are focusing on."
