The Brisbane Lions Board has officially appointed former Captain, triple premiership player, Brownlow Medallist, five-time Club Champion and five-time All-Australian Michael Voss as the new Senior Coach of the Club for a three-year term.

Since retiring after a decade as the Lions' highly decorated Captain, Voss has held a coaching role with the AIS-AFL Academy for two years developing elite young footballers.

He has also been a special AFL match commentator for Network Ten, the host of Ten's Totally Footy program and recently accepted a role as Assistant Coach with the West Coast Eagles.

The Lions also take this opportunity to thank the West Coast Eagles for releasing Voss to accept the role of Lions Senior Coach at such short notice.

Voss will officially commence his role with the Club after completing his current broadcasting commitments with Network Ten for the 2008 Toyota AFL Finals Series.

After 15 seasons and 289 games with the Club that delivered three consecutive premierships and four Grand Final appearances, the Brisbane Lions are proud and excited to welcome Michael Voss back to the Lions full-time.
