ESSENDON chief executive Peter Jackson said coach Matthew Knights' issues with chairman Ray Horsburgh's public discussion of the club's selection policies have been resolved.

Jackson, Horsburgh and Knights met yesterday after the new coach yesterday expressed disappointment at comments made by his chairman that senior players Damien Peverill and Jason Johnson would struggle to get game time for the remainder of 2008.

But Jackson said the issue had been dealt with following yesterday's talks.

"Matthew explained very well at the press conference yesterday his position," Jackson said. "He was disappointed, I was disappointed. I support everything he said yesterday in his press conference … things happen in footy clubs.

"Ray said he was disappointed as well and wished it hadn't have happened.

"It didn't need to come out that way but it has and there's nothing we can do about it now except move on."
