The Senior Strength & Power Coach will work collaboratively to develop and lead an elite strength program for pre-season, in-season and off-season training schedules for our AFL team as part of our High Performance program.

Your knowledge and experience of strength, conditioning and sport science will need to be first class in order to meet the expectations of our players and your colleagues. Your field of expertise will also cover targeted injury prevention and rehabilitation programs. To provide an insight into the level that we require, we would welcome applications from people
who have:
  • At least an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science with a minimum of 3 years
  • experience in a high performance sport environment
  • Worked with elite coaches for a sustained period of time and have a proven record
  • of accomplishment of elite athlete performance enhancement
  • Developed or modified a strength and power program with complementary experience
  • in integrated injury prevention and rehabilitation
  • In addition to this ideally you will also:
  • Have been involved in successful elite sports campaigns
  • Demonstrate academic or applied research in the field of strength and conditioning
  • Be a certified specialist (e.g. have a post graduate degree, or have Olympic weight
  • lifting certification)
